Can we just collectively ignore daylight savings and just carry on as if the clocks didnt change. Everyone just open their shops at 10am till 6pm lol.

Stupid dumb ******* s**t. I've grown to hate it substantially more now that i'm flying more for my job and having online meetings across many states. The ****ed up timezones are lame enough without adding some pointless bullshit that adjusts timezones twice a year.

It goes a month too long but it's much better than daylight at 5am in the middle of summer

I saw a video on the new GitHub CoPilot which is running on GPT-4 and offers things like voice coding. Which is kinda funny because:

1. Programmers hate Microsoft, use open source Linux.
2. Programmers post programs to GitHub which is also open source.
3. Microsoft buys GitHub and a huge stake in OpenAI.
4. Microsoft trains GPT-4 based GitHub CoPilot on the open source programs that Linux programmers created that it now owns.
5. Microsoft makes Linux programmers who hate Microsoft redundant.

In other words - these programmers who hated Microsoft were working for Microsoft for free the whole time.

How is it news that Sanity stores have finally shut down? Most people wouldnt have been in one for two decades. Streaming took over forever ago. CDs are more or less a dead format, they have almost no vinyl, basically only stock generic mainstream shit, and are expensive. How did they last this long lol

Yeah they do, they also have a wider variety of music than sanity. Aside from all the other shit they sell.

Genre fans/collectors/enthusiasts tend to be the only ones buying music as physical media now. So it makes no sense for sanity to exist given their stock is all Ed Sheeran/Taylor swifties type stuff.

The few independent record stores that are around now seem to be doing pretty well.
