My energy provider is changing my solar feed in tariff from 8.5c to 4.5c. Just in time for summer of course.
Heaven forbid you save some money on anything.
Tell them you’ll leave if they don’t give you a better deal. Or leave and get a better deal.

They’re all campaigners, so you might as well pay as little money as you can to any of the energy retailers.

seriously is there any "fast food" franchise worse than subway

they marketed themselves as being healthy when their only palatable product is a cookie

they are always a stressful experience with unrelenting questions of "do you want this, or that? how about that one?" like, you guys are the sandwich experts, come up with a decent menu

oh and any decent ingredients are extra anyway

pretty sure that their six inch and footlong subs aren't actually that measurement, but get with metric anyway

and no matter what you order it pretty much all tastes the same, which is the Body Odour Smell that one experiences when walking past

If you make a roll at home with whatever you like and then shove it inside a used sweaty hot chicken bag from the supermarket it sorta gets close to Subway.

If you find ordering subway stressful you probably shouldn’t leave your house

My energy provider is changing my solar feed in tariff from 8.5c to 4.5c. Just in time for summer of course.
Heaven forbid you save some money on anything.
4.5 is more or less a state wide tariff. There is almost no companies that go higher than that now. The secret is to just use the power being generated during the day if you WFH so that none of it goes back to the grid for the paltry feed in tariff. Or alternatively a battery to store it for the night time peak.

Just don't give any back to them, because anything over what you consume is given that 4.5c bullshit. It's a rort that most of your energy is generated during the day when you are out at work or whatever, which goes straight to feed in if you are generating more than you are using. Then at night when it's peak time, you pay peak prices with no generation only offset by that shitty return during the day.

I've just got a 13kw system and didn't bother with a battery because the missus and I both work from home so we'll just run shit during the day while the solar is killing it or run all our washing/dishwasher etc. off peak over night with the smart schedules they have now. **** energy companies.

batteries really are not a good return on their investment price unless you generate more than you use during the day + run shit during peak hours. Other side of it is, if you do generate more than you use during the day and don't have a battery - grats 4.5c per KW/H. Basically selling power to the company for 4.5c while they charge 50c during peak.

we also had a blistering start with Nordburger here but then the owners got into marital disputes and ****ed up the entire place and it all fell to total shit.
