Poor analogy GD. US has won the most Grand Slam titles, double next best which is us, most Davis Cups and holds one of the 4 majors. They are the biggest tennis nation on earth. But considering the haven't had a great male player for 20 plus years, it's a bit off the radar as tennis doesn't fit the American Exceptionalism narrative at the moment.Americans must see tennis as similar to soccer - mainly a women's sport.
Minority groups have more say these days because every fk’d up group have more rights these daysWho gives the minority groups voice? Who's driving these conversations? It's all propaganda to make us hate each other while the dollars created by the many flow into the hands of the few. You people on the right just scream and cry because Murdoch whispers the right words to you. It's honestly rather sad.
Would not solve the issues that the aboriginals are after.I've posted before that we should declare Australia a republic and celebrate Republic Day on the last Monday in January, replacing Australia Day as a public holiday.
I think 69% isn't accurate either I think it's much higher! We are the only country in the world who's national day marks the start of colonisation, there are literally more countries without national days. For such an extreme case, sitting on the fence isn't exactly the middle ground. And before anyone pulls out the new poll that says 69% of Australians want Jan 26 to be our national day, that poll was commissioned by the Institute of Public Affairs, a heavily Liberal Party-aligned think tank and only had 1002 respondents.
That was a pretty shitty AO. The sport is really missing the star power now.

It’s driven by woke governments and a legal system made to protect Criminals, Deviates and general no hopers.

Star power as measured by how big they are in America? Because I won't point out the obvious lol.
Sampras/Agassi/Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/Rafter/Hewitt was unparalleled. That Hewitt/Roddick/Other period between the end of Agassi/Sampras and the beginning of Federer/Nadal/Djokovic was like the bit between the end of the Cold War and 9/11.
What? No!
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Rupert Murdoch, Marc Andreesen, Mark Zuckerberg, Gina Rinehart, Jeff Bezos and James Packer care about wealth inequality and the little guy!
Not on 9/11 I hope...
I believe people not only in Australia but world wide have had a gut full about being forced to think a certain way on issues by minority groups.
The things that need to be addressed like housing and the rising cost of living is getting pushed aside by diversity dribble.
Maybe not in my lifetime but sometime in the future I can see a Pauline Hanson type being PM.
Before you laugh and say it’s nonsense remember America just voted in Trump.
Heard Albo at Oz day ceremony this morning say that the first 7 people to became naturalized Australian citizens, was on 26th Jan 1949, when Ben Chifley did the honours in Canberra.
So Australians travelled on British passports before that? Were still British Subjects?
I wonder when Sect 44 of the constitution re politicians and dual citizens not being able to run for parliament, subsection (i)
"is under any acknowledgment of allegiance, obedience, or adherence to a foreign power, or is a subject or a citizen or entitled to the rights or privileges of a subject or a citizen of a foreign power;"
stopped applying to British/UKian born people with dual citizenship as UK was now seen as a foreign power?
1901 - Federation, probably not, or
1931 - Statute of Westminster passed in UK after the dominions had an input and they got increased sovereignty. or
1942 - Statute of Westminster Adoption Act passed in Oz in 1942, mainly because of WWII sovereignty issues, or
1986 - Australia Act passed in Oz and then UK, to stop UK from passing any laws that would affect Australia. Think before this, the states could still appeal cases to Privy Council if they didn't like Supreme Court and High Court rulings.
When all those dual citizen politicians ended up in the High Court a few years ago, this was never raised as to when that change occurred re the UK seen as a foreign power, and how many politicians may have been in breach of section 44 pre 1931/1942/1986 or post 1986.
Oh no - ‘minorities’ have rights and free speech. What ever will we do.Minority groups have more say these days because every fk’d up group have more rights these days

Remember Todd Martin from that period he looked older than my dad lolThat Hewitt/Roddick/Other period between the end of Agassi/Sampras and the beginning of Federer/Nadal/Djokovic was like the bit between the end of the Cold War and 9/11.
