Yea I reckon the father must have known something at the least he would've known his wife was sick perverted piece of shit.

Spoiler: It was an amazing documentary but there were a few odd things to me.

They kept saying that Alex had no idea but this is different to the book they released in 2013 about their lives. He had suspicions long before he found the photo. Marcus himself had buried the memories to such an extent that even he was unsure of the details of the abuse until he had a breakdown later in life.

They also had a younger brother who was abused which seemed to have been wiped completely from the doco.

I'm also a little skeptical about the 'single photo of me and Marcus naked with our heads cut off' being made such a huge deal of. Feels like artistic license covering what the photo was actually of or the number and nature of the photos. To go from "hey this is an odd photo" to "did our mother sexually abuse us?" in one step felt not-quite-right.

Reckon the last time I was really invested in a National team was the Soccoroos World Cup in 2006, and I'm not even a big soccer fan.

winning the Ashes is about the only national sporting team event I still feel strongly about. But that's more about ingrained 40 years of not being able to stand the thought of losing cricket to Poms than any positive feelings towards the actual Australian team.

If another economic shock comes, having a surplus will be the only lever we have to get us out of the shit. Official interest rates were over 7% at the time of the GFC, now they are 0.75%. There is no where to go with them.
