Has there been a conviction? I am aware of the allegations however, I am unaware of any convictions.

I know you‘ll excuse this as “the company”. But the head of any company is responsible for its actions.

If Trump truly believes he is innocent of any charges, then why has he instructed his lawyers to use every tactic possible to delay trial? Truly innocent people want it over and done with as soon as possible. Only the guilty delay imprisonment as long as possible.

Today Trump asked for his supporter to die in the cold, after voting for him.
It says much about the man that he is willing for people to die for him.
Mind you, there are plenty who would!

You asked if there had been a conviction and I gave you the answer even the quote from the judge.

There was also the conviction of him/his sons/his companies, just awaiting what the penalty will be.

A multitude of people have died from asbestos and tobacco, delivered by companies which knew the effects and didnt tell the public. The people in charge of these companies were innocent because the company didnt tell them either.... sometimes companies are evil even when they are run by good men like trump...
 
The only question is whether the US is the toilet, and Don is the unbreakable turd which breaks the whole system, or Don is the toilet and what remains of US democracy is about to be flushed.

A New York jury has found that Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed a former columnist in a civil trial.

To me that means he was guilty and convicted, the judge thought it was closer to rape.

Not sure it can get much higher than that!
 
And so the destruction of democracy as we have known it for a couple of centuries begins.
No doubt in my mind that if the orange man gets back into the White House his first act will be to give himself immunity from all prosecutions and any conviction.
within the term he will change the rules so he can serve more than two terms.
Followed quickly by trying to name himself “President for life”.
And within that term the ability to name his son as successor.
North Korea would be impressed.

The answer to your question is that he is both the turd and the toilet.

100 years ago he would of been executed for inciting an insurrection or trying to steal an election with lies. If he stands for office again and loses he will again fraudulently claim it was stolen from him like the immature spoilt child he is.

As bad as the shit stain of a human that he is, it's his supporters who deserve the most contempt. That includes the terrorist organisation that is the Republican Party.

The fact that many of his supporters are amongst the poorest white people in the US shows how mind numbingly stupid they are. Tax cuts for the rich is again on the Trump agenda. During his disastrous 4 year Presidency, the top 1% of Americans increased their wealth by over 50% ( The greatest increase in history) whilst the bottom 30% went backwards at the fastest rate in history.

The fact that people from that 30% support him demonstrates how mind numbingly dumb they are.

Trump bangs on about his enemies as the 'elites'. He is part of the 'elites', the worst part of the 'elites'. those that only came into wealth through crime or by being handed it by their family, or both.

It is not only democracy that is in danger it is also capitalism. Eventually, people will wake up, probably too late, that the great wealth transfer from the poor to the rich, that began with Reagan and put into overdrive by frauds like Trump has condemned them to the role of a modern slave. Try checking out a documentary on the way Amazon operates to see that is present already

I think the biggest threat to the democratic process is the transparent means by which the swamp are trying to prevent a candidate from even running! Let the people decide...

Suggesting half the population are 'mind numbingly dumb' is about as myopic and biased as you can get. Suggesting Trump is an anomoly in a totally corrupt system is just being willfully ignorant. It is clear to anyone with any sort of sense that the Military Industrial complex, Big Tech and Big Pharma totally control the US. The irony is that Trump appears to be so despised becuase he is least 'owned' by them.

It's a thoughtful response, Cliff.

What you've actually suggested is that Trump is the unyielding turd which will break whatever remains of US democracy, that the problems were becoming apparent decades ago, and that the operation of capitalism in the US since the late 1970s or so has created the conditions for the storms of today.

I'd agree with that.

Trump tried to publicly undermine Obama’s legitimacy by stating that he wasn’t born in the U.S. and therefore shouldn’t be eligible to run.

Only ironic that Trump should be struck from the ballot for being an insurrectionist.
