All CTL teams have now selected squads for the Futures pre season program. Would be interesting to see lists of anyone has them?
Gippsland power have somewhere from 70-100 kids trying out for their 16s. They won’t be finalising their squad until Feb/March. Surely none of the team have already picked their final squad have they?

Training squads of approximately 60. To be reduced to 30 in Feb

Imagine if the top few picks are from WA.

The Vic media would lose its collective shits.
The Vic media will never allow it. They will push their boys until it becomes "a truth".

I've realised now that it's pretty much decided in advance and I think I'm out after 2025.

At least in cricket it's a little more even handed although NSW bias is real also.

Don't leave us man, I love your hard work on WA talent.

The others had a better u15's SSA champs and it's the only thing I can really base VIC kids off in this class.
It would help if VIC's had a proper u16's league like SA and WA have a half season.
next year will be easier to gauge.
Coates have some really brief CTL U16 games. Still pi$$ poor in todays semi professional environment of junior development in sport

thanks for sharing through mate, keep up the good work

Yeah 2 games only is really a terrible format, they could atleast have 9 games like WAFL u16's.
SA have the best format with a full season with finals

Agreed. The league should have a CTL comp through the year like U18's. They should do better in this aspect.

Campbell Creyk would appear to be WP mate. It's always a matter of north of Hepburn (WP) or south of Hepburn ave (S). I bet they all go get an ice cream, fish and chips or swim down at the Hillarys marina though.

I’ve dubbed that marina the WP-SUB border.

Sleep in the Subi apartments and go for a walk north and there’s a West Perth Italian restaurant in the northern carpark.

Lot of Lions and Giants academy prospects there.

So I guess at this stage, 2025 is a bumper crop for the Suns academy, 2026 for the Swans academy, and 2027 for the Lions and Giants? Nice symmetry if so. They probably won't end the Northern academy access anytime soon, but if they do, this would be a relatively even and fitting way to go out.

For RedmanWasHere

The Breakwater side of the draw bridge is Subiaco, the pine trees side is West Perth.

Exactly.

I know there was an interactive map posted here of the WAFL metro and country zones but I don’t remember what it’s called.

I believe WP extends beyond Beldon while the southernmost metro point borders Claremont, where Jesse Hogsn is from.

Subi is sandwiched in between WP (The Garlics) and CL (The Monts)
