Dana has made a career out of making interim titles a massive joke. Never been a fan of them, other than them being a ceremonial thing for being #1 contender.

Not a fan of Jones at all, but with all the shit he's done, it's hard to argue there is anyone better than him, but it's a bad look claiming the GOAT heavyweight who is past it, and then not fight the true no.1 contender.

I really hope UFC doesn't go the way of boxing in that regard.
