Nah fair point. Velasquez and JDS looked like they'd changed the HW landscape but when they dropped off it became very basic again.

It's not just Jones though, Aspinall is doing exactly the same. Well thought out gameplans and the well-rounded skillset to execute.

Yeah a lot of this. It's a teep, then jab, then leg kick, body kick, reach in and clinch you, elbow, knee, teep, spinning attack, backs away. Leg kick etc. he's gotta be a ****ing nightmare to fight because you just can't settle or get close

He has a record of something like 15-0 or 16-0 in world titles fights (Reyes one the only one that was questionable). He would out wrestle the wrestlers and the next fight out strike the kickboxers.

2 weight world champion and is 37 or something. He has earned the right to retire on his own terms and not keep fighting until one day a young kid gets lucky.
