Just started watching the Irish underworld drama Love/Hate after it was recommended to me this week.

Seems legit so far, and apparently gets better in later seasons.

Quality thread, got through Luther, Good Cop and my favorite, Shadow Line (how good is Rafe Spall) so far. Makes me jealous the best we can do is Rush and thats rubbish.

Yeah really didn't think I'd like it, but was pleasantly surprised. The Hounds of Baskerville and A Scandal in Belgravia have been my favorite episodes so far.

I made the mistake of watching series 3 of love/hate on foxtel over the christmas break, really need to watch seasons 1 & 2.

Someone mentioned the Lakes earlier - not a cop show but top shelf. Ditto UK Life on Mars. Aything with John Simm in it is usually really good

Cracker is somewhere high above top shelf.

If you can grab 1980s stuff, get Edge of Darkness and The Singing Detective. Both terrific.

House of Cards is well regarded too.

This won't be to many folk's tastes, but Foyle's War has well crafted stories with good links to the history of the time.

Fans of Spooks may enjoy the best of the genre (bit low tech for some probably). Great simple opening titles

Watched collision few weeks back not a bad show not in the same TV guide as topboy shadow line sherlock good cop etc.Anyway one big car cash happens hence the name and one cop gets the cop to find out what happened quiet a few layers to the story.

all quiet on the new UK series front lately,haven't really caught wind of anything coming either

the only uk thing ive seen lately was the movie "Boy A"

which if you haven't seen is a really heavy dark film, but well worth a look

i got my stuff mixed up, i thought secret state was the diplomat one, just saw the trailer, will give it a look

Just got onto Love/Hate season 1. There are a few annoying things but overall a solid watch

I've set" top of the lake" to record when it starts.Story about a young pregnant girls goes missing in queenstown New zealand think it might be abit like the killing.It's on uktv channel on foxtel also stars David wenham.

Season 3 of Love/Hate is pretty good. Show does seem to get better as you go along.

This week I re-watched Luther- season1 was epic, had a massive hard on for Alice, damn she is cold-hot.....series one goes down as one of my favorite series in recent memory.

A kiwi show but anyone watching Top of the Lake, looks great after one episode.

A uk show worth watching that I forgot abt is 'The Fear', not a cop show, but a show that covers the disentigration of a criminal mind due to loss of memory. Its ok but the sons were just painful.....

Now off beat, currently I am re-watching a show from 2007 or so called Black Donnelleys.....awesome irish mob show that unfortunately was cancelled after one season, really worth a watch.

Re love/ hate, been through season 1, need to watch 2 and 3, was slow to start with but I am sure I will like the remaining series.

I cannot see anything on the release date for Luther season 3 and Top Boy however 'Orthodox' looks good
