I think there are better options than Stanton out there tbh.

I'd take Murphy, Mitchell, Bartel, Pendles over Stanton tbh for that 4th spot. Stants has got great potential. But those guys are just safter bets IMO. But that said that's what should make him rather unique. If you want to take a gamble, by all means go ahead, could pay off big time, might get you a car, never know. But is the midfield the place where you want to take risks? There's nothing worse than having a sub par premium in the mids!Enlighten me
I agree but hes certainly one of the 4-5 im considering for my 4th premium midfield spot.

I'm thinking of giving Rory Sloane a go - I think I have a good combination of top enders and rookies and think with Adelaide looking like there up and about this season he could take it to the next level.
either him or Brodie Martin have definitely entered into my thoughts. sub-300k (250k I think?) midfielders who seem to get a lot of the thing, they could be good bets for the midpricer in midfield if you're going that way.
If yuo're not proposing to pick them , why name them?i will name two very unique DT players that im sure only the maddest dters would pick
Dennis Armfield
playing further up the ground this year.
and
Mitch Robinson
is getting better each year.
still i wouldnt pick em.
Mark Nicoski doing his usual NAB super star behaviours. (Note: DO NOT PICK HIM HE IS THE BIGGGEST SPUD EVER). Just saying... every year... another NAB, another Mark Nicoski DT **** mistake is born. I wonder how many people will pick him rnd 1 based on his NAB stats rather than how everyone knows he will go in the season proper.
Nicoski- you would have to be a brave man/woman to pick him.
But he's not alone in the spud dept when it comes to WC.
The only two players on the entire Eagle list I would consider would be Cox and LaCras.
Sheppard looked way out of his depth, Gaff will not be a instant gun like many WCE fans thought he might be, Waters looks set for another injury prone season, Hurn will never get big DT pts, Masten...a shocker, Priddis-you would be mad to pick him instead of 10 other MFs, Selwoods-average players and Nic Nat...no thanks.
Oh i completely agree. I would go further and say there's only 1 DT relevant WCEs player.

I keep hearing people were unimpressed by Gaff's game last night and are saying he'll need a lot of time: I for one thought highly of his game and disposal of the ball. Sure he could use some time in the gym and maybe the WAFL, but Freo were in a better position than the Eagles 2 years ago and he would have played all year in our team

Out of curiosity, do you think Jack Darling is worth a punt
I can't see how Armfield fits into Carlton's best 22 this year. His disposal has always been (and always will be) atrocious. Sure, he's fast. We all know that. But he rarely does anything constructive with the ball when he gets it. I think he'll end up being a depth player at best.
IMO, this is something like Carlton's best 22 for 2011.
B: Russell - Jamison - Laidler
HB: Yarran - Bower - Duigan
C: Simpson - Gibbs - Lucas
HF: Walker - Waite - Houlihan
F: Betts - Garlett - Garlett
R: Warnock - Judd - Murphy
INT: Kreuzer - Watson - Robinson
SUB: Carrazzo
I don't see who he's going to squeeze out. And there are others competing for any spot which may open up.
Oh yer, of course..Ebert.
