In conclusion - the coaches of Port Adelaide know more about football than this pissant board. QED.
Anyone can interpret statistics as they please or use statistics to prove their own narrative, not every statistic is relevant or should be used as a direct comparison.

Hinkley has a greater win percentage than Damien Hardwick, there's a useless statistic for you as a direct comparison.

Given our condition for entry was one new colour that did not exist in the AFL, our third colour should have been pink, not teal, as per the 1877 - 1883 design.

Looking at Palermo and Juventus merch, we'd be in a better spot.

You massively over estimate our supporter base.

Considering the experience level of Hayes v the other 2 groups I don't know whether the stats really support your argument!

I wish people would stop piling on about a 10 game 21 yo in Jed McEntee who as far as I can see gives 100%. Stop making him the punchline to the joke that Ken can't or won't develop talls. It ain't his fault. Support him.

He did well in his last couple AFL games, but his SANFL form all year stunk.

I'm not saying he's the answer. I'm not saying he should be playing instead of Hayes. I strongly suspect his career will be more Sam Gray than Shai Bolton. I just get frustrated with how supporter groups agree to find one punching bag (ken aside) and pile on. Unless he's coming to preseason overweight and shirking contests, I'll get behind whoever wears the guernsey. Last couple of games were easy wins but there's something there to work with

The impact of having Scott Lycett

2020 Preliminary Final centre clearances

Port Adelaide 4
Richmond 11

And those 4 were shallow garbage.

We had to start every score launch from defence, unable to take advantage of the 6-6-6 rule against the best transition defensive side in the league, and scored just 40 points from 58 inside 50s, losing by a goal.

We can either develop an elite talent ruckman or we can keep wondering why our stoppage work is unreliable in big games.

5 to 0 centre clearances in Richmond's dominant last quarter too. Nank 6 hitouts to advantage that quarter to Lycett's 0.

Of all the many poor traits Hinkley has as a coach (dislike of talls, HBF’ers are us, etc), I think the one that shits me the most is him continuing backing in players that have repeatedly failed him in big games. I get coaches can keep selecting players no longer up to it, that have delivered for them in the past, but Lycett (as the example here), has repeatedly failed us in big games. He hasn’t earned the right to a gold pass.

A lot of players delivered that night. Lycett didn't, or maybe he did to his capacity. The fact that no coach or on field leader done anything about Nanks dominating in the last quarter lost the game.

Yep, and here we are, 2 years on.

We've tried 2 ruckmen in that time. One we traded away, the other we unceremoniously dropped and left in the SANFL while a KPF pinch hit for half a season.

We still know nothing about what we're doing with our ruck division. We've got a bunch of untried maybes, an old ruckman who is inconsistent with a mid level ceiling, and an elite tap ruckman who is apparently out of favour.

This is like the 2014-19 KPF situation all over again. Ruining our structure and developing nobody by playing players out of position to fill a hole instead of doing the hard work of fostering development.

How about this for a stat? Pre-Round 21 when our season effectively ended, here's our winning percentages for the year:

Games won with Hayes in the side: 71%
Games won without Hayes in the side: 23%

Imagine going to all that effort to try to prove a point, when the opposite and more accurate point can be proven in a couple of sentences.
