The quality of ball coming out of the contest was terrible today. We need some extractors to get it to the outside more cleanly and they fit the bill so Errol and Warner can get to work under less pressure

We didn’t get beat in the midfield as these stats show. The Tigers killed us at our own game. We didn’t close down their rebound off half back and they cut us open.

Not having a small forward to help Papley out with the forward pressure hurt us.

But less not put all the blame on Wicks over this. Horse has had him as sub for two games before last week. This was going to be an issue at some point, regardless of what Sam did or didn’t do.

The first five minutes of this game showed a team going at about 70% thinking they were just going to cruise it in. Super sloppy and it never stopped being sloppy. Arguably fix kicking the goal on half time was counter productive because they went into the rooms thinking they could just turn it on if they needed to

That was unbelievably dreadful. Our skills and execution were beyond pathetic, it was probably our worst performance since the GF against Geelong.

I gotta give Richmond some credit here, they came with a gameplan and did a great job at unsettling us.

Yes and no. We lost to Richmond last year too. They were always going to try to cut off our rebound work which they got beaten by all season so far. What we did against Essendon in matching intensity, we didn't do today. I think losing Rampe caused us to be a bit lost at times

I think the game was lost when Rampe was subbed.

Our defense was really panicked when we had to adjust mid game.

Just goes to show how important he is.

We actually played pretty well for a lot of the 2nd and final quarter.

But the bad start and terrible 3rd quarter (definitely our worst for the year) showed that no matter who you play, you need a consistent 4 quarter effort, which we and they all know are what gave us those first 3 wins.

Yeah we did make an obscene amount of unforced errors, but Richmond did bottle things up to stop our run and carry for the most part.

* Ladhams should never wear our colours again

* Reid should take his money and retire and give us a MSD.

* Hayward fails yet again under pressure. Put him in the Ressies and fatten him up to go to Sturt.

there were some pluses today.

1. Roberts and Mitchell both had good games.
2. Rowbottom faded but no wonder
3. JMac, Blakey and Grundy worked hard
4. Heeney was good.

A touch harsh on Ladhams and Reid.

They should have impacted more today though ....

At the game, we played with no dare. Refused to go open side when we were down. Game on the line and Richmond were ballsy enough to win it away from the congestion.
