Autopsy Unswanslike performance vs Richmond

I tend to view sides who can bring their best week in week out are sides which win multiple flags we are nowhere near that.

Just bring it when it counts(i hope)

We need to get guys like Warner and Gulden and also Blakey running and carrying the ball. And papley crumbing forward

I guess Mills Parker and Adams will help.

If we are playing Roberts Warner Lloyd Mitchell all year together than I guess we aren't doing shit 😅

Missed the game, wondering if I'm drunk enough to watch the replay...
I knew a guy that watched a replay of the 2006 GF the next day. Always knew there was something wrong with the guy; that confirmed it...

Thought Melican was good all game, as was Heeney. Grundy came back to dominate after half time (becoming a trend).
Richmond looked faster than us and I thought Mitchell and Jordan (did he play?) were exposed for pace.
Not sure we actually went with 3 talls up forward, as McLean seemed to rotate between the bench, the ruck, and defence most of the time with the occasional foray forward.
It was our 'off' game where everyone was off the pace and if the ball bounced then it went into their hands. Maybe that is because they wanted it more?
We will be better from here on, but maybe we'll also have the occasional game like this again.
Oh, and the umpires had very little to do with it. Tigers wanted it more and played better than us.

yeah, we we're never going to have a winless season. TBH, it was a good game for supporters to see why we need players like Mills, Adams and Parker.
This.

Games at the MCG are hard to win for interstate teams. Especially with the affirmation.

Buckle it. Learn from it and grow from it.

Certain Swans players did no play. But mostly I think the umpires played a huge part in today's result. It was very difficult to get a free against them. If the free kick that was given to them in the mid last quarter for in the back had been given the other way, incorrect disposal, s it should have been , we would have kicked a goal. The other thing was that every time we went forward they would pick out a free. Much like the 2016 GF really. AFL want Richmond in the mix. Not US

We’ve had way too many time to learn. How about we start applying these learnings. It did resemble a panicky grand final in some moments during the game

Papley being in the middle kinda pisses me off. He should be a last resort when we need a spark. Needs to be in the forward line kicking assy goals.
IMO we're inviting midfield pressure from the very first bounce each week with the tone we set.

Our starting centre bounce combination in every game so far has been Papley, Heeney and Warner.

What that says to me if I'm an opposition mid is that the Swans are gonna try and beat us with speed. That's just firing me up to beat the Swans with hardness.

Whilst I agree the bigger issue is how on earth was there only a kick in it ? Play better, take the umps
Out of the game
