Great cast especially Casey Affleck
Fixed.

Nah I can see why some don't like Affleck but after what he did in Jesse James you can't blame Dominik for wanting to use him again. That's a seriously strong cast there either way. Good to see Mendelsohn there, but I'd really like Aussie directors to use more home grown talent.

With Scoot Mcnairy and Casey Affleck in the same film surely to play brothers? :D

Not sure if this has been posted but this is the red-band trailer from Ruben Fleischer's (director of Zombieland) new film 30 Minutes or Less. Looks like a great cast with Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride

Moneyball - Starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman

Looks great from the trailer but whether this story can be really cinematic we'll have to wait and see.

That trailer certainly made it seem much more accessible and Hollywood than I assume it will be. Looks very good though.

This will be the third of Fassbender's four films this year. Should be well and truly a star come January.

I think Cronenberg's recent run has actually been pretty accessible for the most part. A History of Violence and Eastern Promises are straightforward enough for most people to get into. Hopefully the script is more Dangerous Liasons-style Hampton, rather than that Cheri crap.

And yeah, Fassbender's slate is huge. This one'll probably be an Oscar tilt, too.

Yeah, I was. Am I a freak? :D
Haha not at all. It certainly didn't move me to tears but it's good to know it's been having that effect because I'm pulling for it to be a great movie.

Very true. The subject matter is very un-Hollywood though and I think if people only go in to the cinema having seen that particular trailer, they won't know what hit them.

As a side note, I think I'm the only person in the world who thinks A History of Violence is a very poor film.

what the hell is with Hugo Weaving and just being awesome!

Can't argue this - look at some of his characters:

- Agent Smith
- Elrond
- V
- Megatron
- Red Skull

Equally adept at playing "good" and "evil" characters, both simple (Megatron) and complex (V and Elrond)
