Nah I can see why some don't like Affleck but after what he did in Jesse James you can't blame Dominik for wanting to use him again. That's a seriously strong cast there either way. Good to see Mendelsohn there, but I'd really like Aussie directors to use more home grown talent.

That trailer certainly made it seem much more accessible and Hollywood than I assume it will be. Looks very good though.

I think Cronenberg's recent run has actually been pretty accessible for the most part. A History of Violence and Eastern Promises are straightforward enough for most people to get into. Hopefully the script is more Dangerous Liasons-style Hampton, rather than that Cheri crap.
And yeah, Fassbender's slate is huge. This one'll probably be an Oscar tilt, too.

Very true. The subject matter is very un-Hollywood though and I think if people only go in to the cinema having seen that particular trailer, they won't know what hit them.
As a side note, I think I'm the only person in the world who thinks A History of Violence is a very poor film.

Might have to break my Keira Knightly rule and watch ADM, only because it's Cronenberg though. Wish they'd cast a capable actress for the role.
Really perplexes me what everyone is seeing in that film. The tone is as uneven as I've ever seen in a film and the son's dialogue and behaviour is just embarrassing. I get what he was going for but man, Cronenberg pulled one over everyone with that movie.

Finally got around to seeing X-Men tonight.
Fassbender the most badass bloke in Hollywood right now.
Loved him in Inglorious Basterds, and is now right up there with my favourite actors.
