The song we had in 2018 is fine. It does not have to be the best song. But I was at that GF and singing it afterwards no one was complaining.
Wrong. There were people who - after singing it a couple of times - started mocking it. In fact a couple of guys started singing our (inane) words to the Richmond tune.
Oh we’re from Eagleland …
If Richmond were a basket case like NthM then I’d just happily steal their song and just tell’em to naff off.
For a club that is so successful our song is an embarrassment. That is, both the original and ‘improved’ versions.

Have been teaching my two year old the old version, as it is all I can find on spotify with the other club songs.

It's only an embraressment because we keep changing it every few years. Just like we did with our Jumpers. Footy clubs should not keep changing things.
There will always be some that don't like things. The chorus is fine to our song. It's just the rest that needs sorting.
But either way the version we have now is a disgrace to the football world and in particular our club.
Like that version as well but apparantly it was disrespectful to the eastern states so they had to get rid of it.
