Again, if you are looking at the odds, its going to be an awful long day for you.

People betting will be betting to make money, the market will fluctuate hard. Just like the last two elections
Na just had a look to see if there was an indication for a potential leader. Much more palatable then the news sources around the traps

The obsession with abortion is so odd. It's one of 100 issues that needs addressing yet absolutely dominates the media landscape

It's also a state issue?

It's shit that it's even an 'issue' to begin with but acting like it's the only or biggest is equally as shit
Wow

How many people get or want abortions a year?
I'm fully supportive of anyone who wants one should be able to. It's madness this isn't common sense tbh

But to act like this is a massive issue across the country is just odd. It simply isn't, it wouldn't make most people's top 5. The media obsession and Kamala zeroing in on it for months isn't worth it IMO
Women in America are dying because they can't get abortions and Trump has bragged about being the one that enabled that to happen.

Don’t want to rain on the parade but the first results have been returned, and it’s in Guam. Guam only has real voting for congress but also has a presidential ticket even if they send no one to the electoral college.

In 2020 they went 10 points to Biden, this year 3 points to Kamala. Make of that what you will

By wide margins, the state of democracy and the economy were top of mind for voters as they cast ballots in the presidential election, according to early results from the NBC News Exit Poll.

Democracy was ranked first by voters, with 35% saying it was the issue that mattered most in deciding how they voted for president, followed by the economy at 31%. Voters ranked abortion (14%) and immigration (11%) as next important, while just 4% named foreign policy.

Both men and women ranked democracy and the economy as their top concerns. But women were more likely than men to prioritize abortion: 19% of women named it as the most important issue, compared with just 8% of men.
It’s a top 3 issue.

Elon being heavily involved is enough to get me off Trump I think. Cannot stand Kamala, but Elon is detrimental to anything. Such a weird, weird man

Is he actually going to get a government job under Trump or is it a gimmick?

$300 on Kamala at 2.48 (might go up to $500, we'll see)
Want Trump to win for entertainment purposes, some of you are deranged
Want Trump to lose to see Elon break

Big 48 hours ahead

A young girl just died the other day when she couldn’t get an abortion due to medical complications…it’s absolutely an issue

No idea, I'm sure there's a stat somewhere. But remember, it's also about if you're a female that could get pregnant, whether you can access healthcare choices or not.

It's like how people here should vote for healthcare funding, not based on whether they've needed it in the past, but whether they might need it in the future. Do you want to be stuck on the ambulance that gets ramped because the hospitals are underfunded?

I'm fully supportive of anyone who wants one should be able to. It's madness this isn't common sense tbh

It is madness isn't it? Almost like a party that is so strongly and deeply intent on removing access to it, aren't fit to hold power.

But to act like this is a massive issue across the country is just odd. It simply isn't, it wouldn't make most people's top 5. The media obsession and Kamala zeroing in on it for months isn't worth it IMO

It is clearly an issue for a certain demographic of voter. The kind of voter who won't vote for Trump.

You're an 18-35 year old male, you obviously aren't personally impacted by abortion access or not to have to think too deeply about it or what else it might indicate for your future.

A POTUS who has already shown they're happy to strip access to abortion away, who has a history of not caring what women want, is not a candidate that's likely to represent the best interests of an 18-35 year old woman in the future.

Checking in from sunny Swan Hill. I won’t get too many chances to follow the count from as I’m camping and having some family time.
My prediction is a comfortable Harris victory, Donny being petulant and lying about vote rigging.
Good times!

Secretary of government efficiency.
Yeah heard this but... surely not?!

Like a guy who lives off government subsidies being in charge of this? I agree with the notion of government efficiency, **** knows it's needed here too but he is not the guy!

Didn't he just get $15B in taxpayer funds to play with rockets ffs

Nothing wrong with our current system.
I agree that I'm grateful for our Westminster system and our independent AEC. There is very little malapportionment. You do get weird results like when Howard lost the popular vote but won the election in 1998, but seats are a good system. In American presidential elections, the states are effectively bundles of seats you can win by a bee's dick.

It would be very much something Trump would do.

I'm aware of how US elections work. I didn't offer any support for their system, only that popular vote is a bad way to do an election.

Not sure I agree with this. With the current EV system, a vote for Harris in say Texas is a vote essentially unheard. Conversely, a GOP vote in California.
I'm not sure how you've equated my point to support for the current EC system.
