Fair warning that any exit poll/on-the-day result/early vote result is going to be highly speculative due to the interchange of D/R voters' preference for either method since 2020 - this could be highly impactful.

Until a county is 100% reporting, I wouldn't react in either direction.

Australia would be the funniest place to do exit polling - according to the polls, an overwhelming percentage of voters indicated that I should F&*k off.

Based on our conservatives getting around 30% of the first party preferences. And the parties most like the Republicans (One Nation and UAP) getting a combined 9%

Last federal election the Coalition got 35.70% with other right wing parties combing for 9.08% as you said.

Labor and Greens got 32.58% and 12.25% respectively.

There's nothing to suggest either side of politics controls 70% of the vote.

If the USA had mandatory voting, the initial drop for Republicans would be stark before they adopted more progressive policies and got their votes back. Or we would see a rise in a 3rd party
