My point is that when people were voting for Fetterman, they were obviously aware he was recovering from a stroke (and to be fair the alternative was Dr Oz....), but the message from the Fetterman camp was that he would be in a better shape by the time he was in congress.

It's over a month into the job, and he's being hospitalised, and cannot have face to face conversations with people without a speech to text device. I just feel at some point they are going to have to acknowledge that he's not able to do the job.

I saw a news report that mentioned a FL county has banned a bunch of books about black or latino ball players. They included Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente. It got my attention because I recognized the Clemente one. It's in the Common Core Reading textbook for 3rd grade. I think these are the passages that someone is worried will give some little white child a guilt complex or whatever.

But there was something that would have made Roberto’s joy a little sweeter. As much as fans loved him, the newspaper writers did not. When Roberto was in such pain he couldn’t play, they called him “lazy.” They mocked his Spanish accent, and when Roberto got angry, the mainly white newsmen called him a Latino “hothead.”

And he still did not get the credit he deserved for being so great. “It’s because I’m black, isn’t it?” he asked the sneering reporters. “It’s because I am Puerto Rican. It’s because I am proud.”

DeSantis will be worse than Trump if he becomes President, mark it. He is fast moving towards the top of my list as the biggest POS in America. The American culture in general is already gutter level. Has to be the most selfish, individual, easily manipulated and politicized population world wide. The book banning one is the funniest. Because when those who are enforcing it are challenged, just about all of them have admitted they have not read that said book. They are just running off what they THINK it contains. Apparently any thing that addresses racism, gays, and inequality is banned. Many of those books have been studied in schools world wide for decades and are considered literacy classics. Where were those so called issues that the right think would arise from reading them, all those years? Are they forgetting about the bible which encourages rape, murder, abortion, pedophilia?

The scariest and unsettling thing I have read about DeSantis recently. Is there is apparently a school in Florida that has been voted one of the most inclusive and safest schools or something. Or maybe it was education? I cannot remember which it was exactly. Anyway, the school is very popular with gay and transgender students, that many enroll there. As they feel safe, and can associate with people like themselves. Despite the school being top rated and not needing attention like poor run down, or poorly ran schools. DeSantis has taken upon it himself, to remove the entire school board and I think principal. And replace those people with hard line Christians, some with a controversial past. He once said that he believes all schools should be subject to those old fashioned christian values. Those kids will no longer feel safe, will be subject to discriminate and brainwashed based rules enforced by these dinosaurs. And driven to suicide, bullying etc.

For a group who often scream out about the imaginary idea that lefties, gays or blacks are brainwashing kids. You have religious groups who are a minority, actively forcing their values on to other people through politics and trying to brain wash our kids into believing in a made up deity. Religious people are the most judgemental, violent, nasty based people in the world. I know if I had kids, I would rather place them in a school that teaches about gay and black people, human rights, issues that are real. Than a religious one, where they turn your kid into another piece of s**t based on a made up set of rules cherry picked from the bible.

Also DeSantis wants to know about womens periods, and female athletes have to report their periods should they wish to compete. Pervert

It would make an interesting philosophical debate.
Trump is essentially amoral. The only thing he cares about is trying to satisfy the demands of a diseased ego no matter the consequences. I think he would do or say or allow anything to happen to anyone to have the big chair back & everyone kissing his ass. I think he would make himself President for life & destroy America as we know it if he could.

But there isn’t any moral basis to it & once he was President for life I don’t think he would care about doing anything. I think he’d just as happily make hookers & blow free for everyone or hold public executions if it meant keeping the job. He doesn’t actually believe in anything.

Surely the mid term results show it does not. Biden’s an unpopular President with no sign he can address stagflation adequately and the Republicans woefully underperformed because their focus was on this crap.
