Think they need to go out and get an experienced premiership player if one is gettable. Lions are noticeably better since Hodge, Melbourne better after Lewis, hell the Eagles won a flag soon after Mitchell came in. Granted those teams didn't win premierships with said players but you'd have to think some of that winning experience and leadership rubbed off.What I can't reconcile is we were actually leading the Dogs in the last Q last week after playing out of our skins.
Yesterday reminded me of the first couple of weeks of the season where it looked like the players didn't want to be out there.
They later admitted they had put too much pressure on themselves and everyone went into their shells.
JL talks about it in the presser as the players "internalising" and getting stuck in their own heads.
We know this team can play better footy and JL has, as good as said, this is a mental problem.
So whose fault is that? And why are teams like Port and Collingwood running above the ground and we're sinking in mud?
Is it lack of leadership on the field? Is it coaching? Both?
