At least there’s no overlap with the afl team this week
Iv just checked the VFL draw the Sunday game at Arden street vs Box Hill is now on Saturday?
Go figure well if this the case well I can re arrange my work for Sunday .
Can someone from north Big Footy confirm this as was looking to going out on Sunday to watch the game at our spiritual home.

This is pure BS.

With the introduction of the eastern reserves comp the VFL has never had more AFL listed players floating through there, and other clubs haven't had issues developing players. Couple this with the fact our side has been smacked by the pure VFL, non-AFL reserves sides, this is just a ridiculously shit comment.

Seems that way. It is our team so we can manage ground time, player positions etc exactly how we want. Surely that's what the VFL is all about in terms of developing players or running them back into form.

I mean I get what he means, rarely does our VFL actually look like an open or free-flowing game. When we had more AFL-listed players in such as against Footscray or Willy, we played well and had impressive ball movement. But how are you even supposed to compete with 4 or 5 AFL players and a bunch of good VAFA/EDFL players. On top of that our VFL list barely has anyone over 195cm.

I’m sure Stevo would be performing much better in the VFL if the midfield had a fit Phillips and some other AFL quality in the middle, which would allow him to play the sort of role that he would actually play in the 1s.

Regardless I think Noble has no other option but to play Stevo this week in the 1s and has to use that excuse as to why he’s not ripping it apart in the VFL but will still be selected.

Hopefully we can find some semblance of health so our VFL will become a valuable resource again.

Largely a product of the injury list surely. This is why a flyer for 6 months on a second msd would’ve been good to add a bit of competition for places, surely there was someone capable enough who could have served hat purpose

This comes down to once again the negligence of the club for not getting strong vfl listed players. You would think they would have learn't from last season that not getting enough talls ruined any chance of a functional team.

It’s so disappointing because before the season started when I saw the moves for Dib and Collins I thought they were pretty savvy to get some good young players that were close to AFL but just missed. Then Tyson & Hore the potential for Lynch along with Jones & Answerth meant that I thought we had enough VFL/AFL experience. But the bottom end of our VFL list is horrible. I know it’s hard to find genuine talls who want to play second fiddle to AFL players when they could just go to stand-alone clubs but literally in the seniors at my VAFA club there are better talls in my opinion than the ones on our VFL list, Mitchell-Russell is alright but we need more than just one bloke who is just over 190cm.

The VFL list has been poorly put together with guys that would be lucky to be above average players in suburban competitions.
For 1 I don’t blame these top up players there doing they best I put the blame on the club that treat the VFL like 💩
Observations state we should try and recruit more SANFL ,VFL or WASFL players that don’t get drafted but it comes down to $$$$ and a salary cap in the VFL

A stand alone VFL team was supposed to give us a real advantage for our development.

So far it's been an unmitigated disaster where the list quality is so bad the only thing developing is a losing culture.

We might as well crawl back to Werribee if Snoz can't do his job.

That would be the last thing that we want as club .
As for the list been put together for the VFL it has been a disgrace that why as a club we have gone backwards in aspects.
But I want everyone to remember it’s Brady Rawlings club not the supporters club.
