Funny how one key position player (Dawson) has straightened up our whole side, allowing McGuinness and Goater to player more attacking roles.

It’s laughable how we haven’t had genuine key position VFL listed players over the last 3 years.

You still need decent quality KPPs, even if they are young and developing. If we didn't take Dawson, Carlton probably would have so he is a decent prospect.

I'd like to see us put some meat on Edwards and play him closer to goal, he seems too stringy to provide much impact. We could use a few more KPP, i could probably come up with 5 or 6 to move on.

Dawson great in air. Kicking shaky.
JHF class above.
Goater surely plays soon.
Ford looks too good for VFL.
Hore is good at VFL level.
McGuinness looks worth a try to me?
Hayden should be tried as a tagger.
Who you going to drop for Hayden, just no point playing a tagger when we aren’t really playing for anything. Use tiger spot to develop players

If we were slugging it out for a finals spot that’s a different story but I’d prefer bringing JHF/Goater/Ford for any of those spots even McGuinness down back (For Bonar?)

Weird that Tom Williamson has ended up on our VFL list…he only stepped away from footy with Carlton a few weeks back…

What's the story with him?
Carlton defender Tom Williamson has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the club.

The Blues said they have been supporting Williamson “over several months” with “a number of personal issues”.

The 23-year-old has not played at AFL level this year, though he was the unused medical sub in Round 1.

“It has been agreed by all parties that it would be best that Williamson takes extended time away from the football club, to focus on his wellbeing and ultimately address his personal issues,” the club said in a statement.

“The wellbeing and the health and safety of all remains the club’s priority and due to the sensitive nature of this matter, the club is not in a position to provide any further comment at this stage.”

Williamson played 26 games over the last two seasons, with his career total sitting at 44.

On a personal side note, I think he was a very good/promising player. Hopefully he can feel comfortable at VFL level and rediscover his passion.
