So melbourne by 8 at the finish. Probably won't say much here that I haven't already posted, but in summary; Campbell, what an asset to the club at this level; Xerri in the goals, rucking well and got around the ground; Atu quieter in the last qtr but clean (bar one) and runs to create; Phillips ran out the whole game, and racked it up; Garner played three quarters and was excellent, leading up and distributing. went into the centre in the second half and got more involved, with some clearances and I50s.

Spicer has a lot of work to do - a few flashes last week and nothing this week; Ford quiet bar an excellent set shot. Pat Walker solid but unspectacular

overall, the club will benefit from the consistency in game plan - possess it out of D50 wherever possible and take the risk on turnover; as this develops, players will know their roles whether it's in the ones or two, and we'll be better for it.

Of the VFL players, 57 Harry Jones plays in the centre, gets his share, kicked a couple. Appleby at HFB was ok

I really rate Xerri. Naturally he has some things to work on but you can’t teach /develop the hardness he brings. He does/will make others stand taller as well having the opposition looking over their shoulder! Can’t wait until if and when he manages to cement himself in the seniors.
