3. Pick 14 and Murphy for Daniel Wells - the silky outside midfielder we need.

Trades
Ive always thought that the best teams to trade with are the ones that think they may be able top up but I wouldnt be trying to get a star just a solid citizen who will pull their weight.

1) Id see if the bombers would look at somthing for mcphee. Tops would be a 2nd round pick and a pick of the delisted players. Mcphee is a big body and a good runner, somthing our backline needs. He wouldnt need to play key position like he does at Essendon.

2) Id send a 2nd round pick to the saints for Stephen Milne and a 3rd round pick. One of the few genuine foward pockets who has speed and is capable of kicking goals. Would only cost dropping down a few spots in the draft.

3) Id try and get involved in any deal that is sending Pavlich back to Sth Australia. If Mark Williams is looking at going home Im sure we could work out somthing along the lines of Pavlich to Crows, Williams to Freo and Rutten to Hawthorn. This would take some doing but to get a quality Fullback would be great.

If he doesnt get the Melbourne job Id be pounding down the door of Mark Riley. This bloke lives sleeps and eats football. He would fit right in with Clarkson.

If Dixon retires Id also offer him a role working with the fowards. He seems to understand Clarksons game plan and communicates really well.

Hodge is a leader in the Carey mould and is a perfecet fit for Hawthorn now. Mitchell vice captain with Tim Clarke, Vandenberg, Lewis and Jacobs in the leadership group.

Luke Hodge - Has been good but his career ending injury in round 21 is enough to let him go.

1.) We need more experienced tall players in the forward line, First and Second round picks for Nathan Thompson.

2.) Our midfield is missing that vital ingredient, Mitchell, Bateman and thrid round pick to Essendon for Hird I think it's worth it.

3.) Thurgood and Little to West Coast for Judd, you know they'll take that.

Yeah good point their forward line is dead, and they could always send Bock into defence and still have Basset. But they also have young James Sellar is tipped to play CHF who was highly rated in the draft.
