5. Bryce Gibbs - As someone else said, the perfect balance of attack and defence today.
4. Chris Judd - Started it all, and yes, Ling slowed him up a bit in the second half, but taking a great contested mark in defence during the last 1/4 was just one of the vital touches he still got in the 2nd half.
3. Heath Scotland - Another great game, he's having his best season for the Blues so far.
2. Jordan Russell - Walker should have got his votes, but alas ...
1. Jeff Garlett - I was astounded by how far he was prepared to run today, just shaded Eddie as the best of of the 3 Amigos. Contested marks from a toothpick ... amazing.

Special mention to the entire rest of the team (except maybe Hendo, but only because he couldn't hold his grabs)

5 - Jordan Russell - Had a task to do and accomplished it perfectly.
4 - Chris Judd - His speed and work-rate were second to none.
3 - Heath Scotland - Was all over the place, working hard and always making the right decisions.
2 - Jeff Garlett - Outmarked bigger opponents, was very dangerous up front.
1 - Andrew Walker - Before injury, was relishing his role in the team. Disposal has improved 50000000%.

5- Russell - Dominated Stevie J. I knew our backs would do the job on the 3 talls. I was only concerned about Johnson. Untill he got Russelled.

4- Judd - Set the game up. Faded but drew plenty of attention.

3- Armfield - I thought he was sensational.

2- Gibbs - Stiff to only get 2. Was very good.

1- Walker - still turns it over but was brilliant. Runs hard and quick and dominated Hawkins. Takes risks.

Garlett, Scotland stiff.

5- C Judd- got it all started and despite fading had the biggest impact on the outcome
4- H Scotland- Created opportunities well
3- B Gibbs- Him and Scotland worked very well off of half-back, was on Chapman who barely did anything
2- J Russell- Held Stevie J to perfection
1- J Gartlett- Loved seeing him come up the ground, then running back to create opportunities

5. Scotland - Has stepped it up this year, on field leader.
4. Gibbs - killed it off half back, precision kicking.
3. Russell - Body on body work was superb and beat a gun, hands down.
2. Judd - Top of his game when it mattered most.
1. Jamison - Beat everybody who came near him, not since SOS have I felt comfortable when the opposition kicks it long to a one-out in the square. Great one on one ability.

Agreed. Also a prick for putting Ablett on the spot in one of their dinners. Makes one suspect that he already knows the answer to the GC17 Question...
Well yeah, it made me think that Bomber really needs to treat him 'nicer' if he wants to keep him. Unless of course, Bomber allready knows something.

5. Russell (Who would have thought only 12 months ago)
4. Judd.
3. Gibbs
2. Armfield
1. Jamison

Must follow on with Russell here. His burst of pace to get to a contest still has me shaking my head.
A very powerful runner and with his self belief now, may just exceed all our expectations in time to come.
Power to the Jack. :thumbsu:

5 Judd: this week yes!
4 Gibbs : this week I am happier
3 Army: good work kid
2 JR: whipping boy holds the whip
1 Scotland: solid
close - 3 Amigos
WOG- Hendo: I know he needs time etc but some of those missed opps

Do you think this is the way they would have done it?

Coach 1:
5 Gibbs (Carl)
4 Garlett (Carl)
3 Russell (Carl)
2 Ablett (Geel)
1 Simpson (Carl)

Coach 2:
5 Gibbs (Carl)
4 Judd (Carl)
3 Carrazzo (Carl)
2 Scotland (Carl)
1 Garlett (Carl)

If it is, then both coaches were pretty hard on their champs :) (I'm assuming that Thompson didn't give Ablett any based on his comment)

I'd challenge anyone who has Carrazzo in

Carrazzo was brilliant.

So Thompson obviously gave all his votes to Carlton players, Ratten gave 2 to Ablett.. God dam, what a dummy spit by Thompson. For mine, Judd was Carlton's best. I'm not down with players who spend the entire game running around defense by themselves(Carrazzo/Gibbs). These votes are warped. Judd 4?? Gibbs 10... Look at it this way... swap Judd(loose in defence)/Gibbs(on the ball and tagged)... Judd would destroy Geelong, Gibbs wouldn't get a touch. Judd/Ablett seriously underrated here.

Hows those sour grapes going champ ?

I'm tipping we could have swapped Gibbs and Judd around and still have won the game ..with Gibbs getting plenty of damaging possessions ..you really do overrate your players ...hence all the sour grapes you are sucking on right now .

Nice one. Not that I was even having a stab at Carlton in particular, just don't agree with the votes or Gibbs ability to play in the midfield w/tag. Trust me, the sweetness of witnessing 2 Premierships in person overpowers any 2010 round 5 sourness. Only 3 days of this week to go. Enjoy it.
