Review vs Bulldogs (5th best comeback by margin for any club, and equal best for StK)

Must say something about Adam Basil. Copped some stick when we copped a few hammies in the pre-season but we were all over them like a rash in the last. Thumbs up on our fitness. Touch wood we have been injury free for a month.
Close to a full list is available. Ross isn't far away, Ray and markworth recovering quicker than expected and sipposs is probably done anyway. Loving the competition for spots.

Almost as good as that comeback when Plugger went nuts against Sydney in 94 kicking about 10 goals to bring us back from 50 points down.

It's a weird thing though, I just felt we would win today, I didn't feel that last week when we lost.

St Kilda, I can feel you in my waters.

Hey Bulldogs....

I like Mckenzie and he was decent today but his kicking is not as good as people say, I thought this when we drafted him too. His kick sort of floats without much penetration. I think similar issue to Steven a lot of the time he kicks while running at full speed and doesn't flush it. Still think he's a beaut though

He was a big star at the Victory during their championship years. Great get.

Just goes to show how close we've been to being competitive. Joey and Reiwoldt replace our worst two players and BAZINGA.
We still potentially have Farren Ray and Sam Gilbert, they are both better than our current two worst , who arent that bad.
I think you are giving too much credit to our veterans. Today was a triumph for backing kids. Gilbert isnt better than Dylan in that role. And right now Id prefer Webster and D-Mac to Faz.

Honestly I love D-Mac. So impressed.

Bit harsh? "dickhead Stringer?" really? No need for that.
Flog tried to give it to Riewoldt at HT when his team was 8 goals up. No need for that.

Good win saints.....disappointing on our behalf, shouldn't have given up that lead regardless how well you'd played in the second half. After the first two goals in the last quarter I thought that would I have been enough, but saints kept coming. Two sides both on the rise. Be a good measure for both teams next week.....us and freo, you guys and crows, coming off what looks like a thrashing of the Suns.

Forgot to set my alarm cause I was plastered last night. Woke up hungover to see the game was about 10 minutes into the last quarter with us 3 goals down.

Thought to myself, 'could happen', then saw us run right over the top of them.

Hanging out for the replay to go up.

Jack Billings is our Wingard style match winner. Gun!

DMac had some sort of game for his second one. Both he and Billings are brilliant overhead in what is such an underrated skill. Both also take it on and are fearless with ball in hand for kids who aren't developed physically yet.

Excuses on the dogs board and main board are hilarious.

"Missed half a team" - just like you did last week except for Jong and Boyd. Why no excuses last week?

"Back to back 6 day breaks" - Yep considering this week you had a 7 day break. Extra day on us..

Yep they're hilarious. If we were on top all game then maybe, maybe, their outs would be a valid excuse.

As it was, they were 55 points up and lost it in under a half of footy. Pretty sure they didn't lose those guys at half time

Ill be honest i dont like the Dogs . Just as there is a lot of Bulldogs supporters who dont like the Saints.
( i think it has to do with the race to that elusive 2nd flag:p)
And im glad we won today obviously.
But when you guys are up & about GOD DAMN you play an exciting brand of footy:thumbsu::thumbsu:
Richo mightve won today but i think youve got a good long term coach in Bevo:thumbsu:
