Ok fair call...what do you see that might make him a pick? Maybe I haven't seen enough of him? He did battle manfully at the championships.
31 posies last week was impressing, how tall is steely, looked a little undersized at the state games

Definitely a chance to get drafted you would think! 4 or 5 best WA mid

Fair call mate...those guys between 170-177cm are always up against it nowadays. But it would be great to see him him get chosen. The last thing footy needs is to become a sport that discounts 80% of the population due to lack of height. The average height of an Aussie is 176cm apparently......AFL is heading toward 190cm average

Just like Jones and Hagan, height is a concern. He has a very attacking handball and great defensive work on the inside.
He moves well without the ball in his hands and his kickings is just lacking a little depth at the moment, but he is solid.

I'd have him in that 8-12 range of draftbale WA players.

Have not checked, I thought he was around the 180cm mark?

I read that Draper is 195cm and described as a utility. How would you describe his game/traits and what sort of position do you think he could be effective in at AFL level?
I was thinking at the start of the year that he might be best at FF/CHF....but as chasingFlags25 said he's played on a wing and last week in the backline.

I wonder if he's got the tank to spend time on the ball? That would be exciting at 195cm. Ed Allan spends most of his time in the middle and he's 194cm, so it's possible.

But a great mover, balanced, clean and great to watch

Anyone wanna try give the jack Clarke medal top 5 a crack? and teams b and fs considering regular season has concluded
Claremont - Josh Sukuroski, Fletcher Netherway, Mitch Barron
East Freo - Luke Yeo, Zac Petersen, Sam Otto
East Perth - Darcy Miller, Jordyn Baker, Darcy Craven
Perth - Oliver Zolnier-Owens, Ben Fairbank, Baxter Philip
Peel Thunder - Michael Sellwood, Byron Finch, Clay Hall
Subi - Ryan Newick, Dylan O'Dea, Rory Murison
Swans - Tristen Burgess, Jack Saunders, ?
South Freo - Christian Wilson, Roan O'Hehir, Seth Connor
West Perth - Kane Bevan, Riley Sprigg, Jack DeMarte

Top 5 of the medal - who knows? Umpires often see the game a lot differently to those in the stands, but probably a high disposal midfielder - Darcy Miller (EP), Kane Bevan (WP), Christian Wilson (SF), Ryan Newick (S), Seth Connor (SF)

It's gotta be one of the players that have played the majority of games.....ok....I'm going for Christian Wilson
Probably would say he would have to be the favourite then you have the likes of Darcy Miller (EP), Rory Murison (S), Michael Sellwood (PT), Seth Connor (SF), Scott Tuia (PT) and Byron Sherwood (WP) possibly, thoughts?

what are your knocks on Connor McDonald, Brother of Logan, that will make it hard for him to get drafted?

going with that what are his strengths?
That list is a bunch of players I like but not necessarily an indicator of who I think is a good chance of getting drafted. If I was just trying to read the minds of AFL clubs I'd probably have him somewhere between 10-18 with his name and pedigree. Clearly there is a buzz around him right now.

I haven't really seen him play that much

Well at the risk of angering friends and family which often happens here. To me his strengths are effort and the ability to hunt the ball at stoppages and to contribute every time he plays.

I have some concerns over his disposal and thus his ability to get value for the hard work he puts in on the field.

Others may argue that he is a perfectly good kick and they may know better.

From limited viewings:
Strengths: Goalkicking/goal sense. He's only kicked 4 in 5 colts games - more in school footy, but his kicking for goal on the run is very nice; defensive workrate - willingness to run with opposition midfielders and tackle; ability to get from stoppage to stoppage; wants the ball in his hands to move it forward - always looking to attack when he has the footy; ability to bring more outside players into the game - creates space for his teammates by drawing players in and putting ball into space
Weaknesses: Kicking consistency. He has the ability to hit his kicks but can be off target; lack of standout traits - does a lot of things good, nothing great; strength in contest - likes to try and take the game on but slight frame makes it hard to break tackles

Any thoughts on best bottom agers in colts now that the season has ended?
Dan Curtin (tall utility - best pos: key fwd), Koltyn Tholstrup (mid-fwd hybrid), Coen Livingstone (ruck-fwd), Mitch Edwards (ruck), Ethan Logan (3rd tall utility - best pos: can do them all well), Riley Hardeman (ball moving half back), Clay Hall (mid/wing), Koen Sanchez (small fwd)

Agree, Peel have lucked out with their bottom agers this year-got 3 selected for the Grandfinal curtain raiser
