I heard Culley got a red card and ejected from the game for taking his shirt off and making Dark Sharks faint.

Probably to save someone for the emergency spotCulley hasn’t been on since 3/4 time and they’re definitely giving minutes in the last quarter to the top ups
Been a pretty ugly last quarter so far
Holding on just by 1 point with 5+ minutes left
Been impressed with Trew today, his clearance work has been great
Is Hough any chance for next week in the seniors if Witherden has another poor outing? Or is he still building his base?
Reports of a shoulder injury, is that Culley? How severe?
I totally agree. The West is just a click bait rag now-a-days.View attachment 1639575
Surprise surprise, The West going with the sensationalist approach.
“Alarm bells ringing”, “carnage”, * me. Both got their injuries strapped up and managed to get out on the field afterwards, hardly the catastrophe they’re making it out to be
Also, they didn’t leave the field “in the hands of medical staff”, both of them made their way off themselves. In Culley’s case he was almost sprinting off the ground.
I know The West has always been like this, but I swear this year they’ve gone up another notch. Or maybe it’s the same, but it feels like this year I’m finding myself more and more pissed off some of the s**t they put out on a regular basis

Unfortunately, that's because it works.I totally agree. The West is just a click bait rag now-a-days.
Top mans KeysieSome good signs out of todays game that we were in control of halfway through the 3rd quarter with a near enough to 5 goal lead
From there the game got a bit ugly with a lot of mistakes from both sides and East Perth actually drew level late in the game before O’Neill kicked an excellent goal from a forward line stoppage that ultimately became the game winner
The drop off coincided with a shift in the balance on field between topups and listed players. I think they were trying to get game minutes into the topups as well since it was after all a practice match
Also a factor in the change was Bazzo and Alec Waterman being rested after half time as they were on managed minutes. Jamieson after half time and Culley after 3/4 time were pulled due to injury. Barnett also seemed to be managed somewhat
When they were up and running the ball movement was quite attacking and there were a number of good handball chains to move through traffic. Sometimes they overdid the hands though
Individual players
L Edwards - played mainly wing and was deep forward late. Serviceable game without being a standout. The other mids were better
Hough - arguably our best player. Spent the game across half back. His run was important, good decision making and hit most targets. Made some good defensive plays as well. Looks ready for a recall if a spot opens up
Petruccelle - played HHF and did some really good things. Did some dumb things and went quiet for periods. So a typical Petch game. Needs more WAFL time imo before being reselected
Winder - played up forward and like Petch did some nice things but faded in and out of the game
O’Neill - got better the longer the game went and stood up late I thought when EP were pressing. Kicked 3 goals and had some good clearances. A good response to being dropped
Trew - Mainly on ball and helped the midfield get on top in the 2nd quarter. Hands were good
Foley - was quietish early but overall had a solid game
Barnett - started forward with stints in the ruck. Struggled to have much of an impact - delivery into the F50 wasn’t always great and after Jamieson went off he was out bodied in the ruck by Jones. Did have some nice disposals and some clever tapons. Definitely something to work with
Bazzo - only played the first half and was quite rusty. Will be better for the run and it was just good to see him out there
West - was very good. Played in the centre and was our best midfielder. Involved in some very good passages of play
Clark - played on the wing and was solid throughout
Jamieson - competed strongly and had a very good first quarter before appearing to roll his ankle at the opening bounce of the 2nd quarter. Did come back on after treatment but wasn’t moving freely and didn’t return after half time. Hard to know the severity of the injury but it looked low end - maybe a week or two out, if at all
H Edwards - had his hand full down back particularly defending on the lead. Spent time rucking in the last quarter without much influence and a run at FF as well. Took some telling marks in defence when EP were pressing in the last quarter. Also had a couple of really nice attacking kicks out of defence
Dewar - played forward. Kicked the opening goal but otherwise flashed into the game only occasionally. Looks to have good pace and missed a couple of half chances late in the game
Culley - strong around the contest. Kicked a v good 2nd quarter goal. Injured his shoulder in the 3rd quarter but did come back on after having it taped and was straight back into the contest. Didn’t play the last quarter and it’s hard to know if it was just precautionary or not. Like Jamieson it looks minor and hopefully doesn’t keep him out long, if at all
WAFL website has Clark, Petruccelle and H Edwards along with Creasy and Alec Waterman as our best so different to my views
Also says Foley is in report - there was an incident off ball that had an EP player doubled over momentarily which may have been the report. If so, I dont think there was a lot in it
Was a good hitout overall
Both the Waterman's are clearly above WAFL level but just haven't been able to make it stick at AFL level.
Nic Nat still two weeks away as Yeo set to miss Derby
West Coast are set to be without star ruckman Nic Naitanui until at least round five as his Achilles injury continues to derail the start of his season.thewest.com.au
According to this article, Luke Foley has been suspended for one week for striking Ethan Regan.
Intentional conduct, medium impact, body contact. Was initially two weeks but they got it down to one with an early guilty plea
Not the biggest loss in the scheme of things but still annoying.
Didn’t see the incident, only the aftermath, but it looked like it had been a stock standard tummy tap at most. There was zero remonstration from Regan or any of his teammates. Hard to see how that’s worth two weeks.
Must have been being acting like a fair pelican to make Foley want to belt him in a practice match?Nic Nat still two weeks away as Yeo set to miss Derby

Pickett two weeks, Foley two weeks. Something is seriously wrong here. Potential to cause injury; off the scale with one, and next to zero the other.Didn’t see the incident, only the aftermath, but it looked like it had been a stock standard tummy tap at most. Didn't realise Chrisso looked at WAFL incidents too.
