Terrrile news.. I feel sorry for Tex.

Good to hear he's going in for the op.

I recokon it'd be best to rest him for this year, and have him fresh for 2010 to help our push for a Top4 finish

Now i'm a tad confused - and dare i say well beyond my usual disposition - but, given that this picture used by Carlton's website to support the 'Walker injured' article, is not years old, then WTF was he doing with no support strapping on!!??

Like Collingwood's Sean Rusling, Walker has already had surgery where a piece of bone is relocated behind the shoulder joint to prevent it dislocating.

But he can have surgery that would mean he lost much of the range of movement in his shoulders but was less chance of a dislocation.

"The compensation would be that he lost flexibility, but as long as the joint becomes stable, you would take that lack of flexibility," Icke said.

"There are a lot of players that have had multiple shoulder surgeries, so we would expect he would make a full recovery."
When does one say Enough! and think about their health for the rest of the life?

Removing a piece of bone to anchor the shoulder sounds like a recipe for further trouble.

IIRC, Carey could hardly lift his arms above his head to mark late in his career.

Are you Mad, Blue?
We stick by our people.
Walker is as Carlton as you can get.
Support the guy and he will repay in full.

Glad we didn't ditch Hadley last year just because he was showing up with injuries:confused:

Totally agree, you cant just turn your back on players of Walker's quality when they get injured. He's got youth on his side and no doubt once fully fit he will be back having a big impact on our side.

I just hope he doesnt put his head down and throw in the towl in mentally, as hard as it would be in his shoes i just hope he keeps his head up and works towards making the side for finals this year.

And WE must stick by him,and i have no doubt we will, its not Carlton to turn there back on players with injuries...
