Not sure “comical” is the correct word.I don't know how it could be justified given his output over the last five or so years. It's been comical.

You are right. Farcical is a better description. Not sure “comical” is the correct word.
I’m sensing empathy isn’t a trait you believe in much. You are right. Farcical is a better description.
It's my strongest. How can a simple analysis of the benefits of keeping a player on our list when his body cannot be trusted be considered to be lacking in empathy? I suppose you raise your voice in outrage every time a fine individual is delisted from our club at the end of each season. Maybe our club should take a different course and just keep the nicest or most injury prone players on our list in the future.I’m sensing empathy isn’t a trait you believe in much.
Surely Reid gets delisted at the end of the year.

I think he'd agree. You said his output has been comical/farcical. How do you think Reid feels about that?
I reckon you’ll find he has done everything possible to get his body right, and that the opinion of an armchair expert is pretty disrespectful.I think he'd agree.

The decision to extend his contract was probably wrong but it’s poor to criticise his output as comical.
I can't be happy about their touted returns because we have been badly bitten too many times. If they come through unscathed and get through a few weeks I might start to believe they can make a difference. It's just words at the moment.Just going to vent my frustration that the media is going all "JUST IN" or "BREAKING NEWS" regarding Ben Reid as we speak, even though it was revealed last night. Further, they all talk about "ANOTHER PIE INJURY BLOW" but neglect to say anything about how we're getting Moore back, and are expecting Elliott, Fasolo and Aish back next week.
Reid signed a one-year deal..... I sincerely hope its towards the lower end of the spectrum $$$ wise.
Which you'd assume it is.
Exciting news. He might get "a look" at the end of the season. This really lifts ones spirits.
'I CAN'T SEE WHY I CAN'T GET BACK': TRELOAR
Kate Salemme
STAR Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar says he can't see how he won't return to the field this season despite undergoing surgery to repair one of his injured hamstrings last week.
Treloar suffered tendon damage to his left hamstring and injured his right hamstring in the same incident against Carlton in Round 14.
He has undergone successful surgery and is expected to be sidelined for at least two months.
Treloar is in a race against time to be fit to play again this season and help Collingwood's finals campaign and premiership push.
But the gun onballer hasn't given up hope.
"The way I'll attack my rehab will be very diligent and I'll make sure I do it the best I can to try and give myself the best opportunity to play," Treloar said.
"The way sport science is nowadays and the way we're doing everything, I can't see why I can't get back.
"I've just got to make sure it's all smooth-sailing and hopefully I can come back.
"I've got all the hope in the world that I will be back playing (this year)."
The Magpies have had another wretched run with injuries this year. Lynden Dunn is out for the season after tearing his ACL against Gold Coast on Saturday night and Daniel Wells will also miss the rest of the year alongside Tyson Goldsack (knee) and Tim Broomhead (leg).
Darcy Moore, Jamie Elliott, Alex Fasolo, Ben Reid and James Aish have also missed extended periods.
Treloar is walking unaided but with a limp and says he's "feeling good".
"The first few days it was really hard to walk as you can imagine given it's both hammies I've hurt," he told Fox Sports News.
"It's doing really good. Obviously I'm walking at the moment and I can't wait to be back in next week with the stitches coming out."
Ben Reid will be our September specialist...
