The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

LOL, and people still run the line that Israel has internal systems to deal with misbehaving soldiers.
They do, it's extremely lenient though even when soldiers are found guilty. All countries struggle to or don't properly investigate soldiers for war crimes, including our own:

I watched Breaker Morant a month ago and it seems many Australians still think that guy should have been found not guilty :embarrassedv1: He executed prisoners of war...

Trump is really doubling down on this threat that "all hell will break loose" in the middle east if the hostages aren't returned before he takes office. That's less than two weeks now. He has kind of backed himself into a corner on this, I don't think all the hostages will be returned by then. Who knows what will happen. He doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to make a threat and loose face by doing nothing if his demands aren't met.

He's already backed out of other core promises, like food price relief. This one he'll have to see through though, to repay his Zionist funders

Yeh he isn't lying imo, what he's going to do though?

Nothing good, I think. But I only hope whatever he does brings an end to this in the best possible way, but it's unlikely.

If Blinken is to be believed, and he probably is to an extent, I think it's been good for Israel and for the people of Gaza to have more moderate voices coming from America. If Trump's people are all crazy right wingers, this could get very messy and even more disastrous for Gaza.

On Erdogan.

“Turkey has been after Syria under different names and in different ways, forms for 2000 years.

But if you look at what happened with Syria, Russia was weakened, Iran was weakened. And he's a very smart guy, and he sent his people in there through different forms and different names, and they went in and they took over…”

Alleged ceasefire proposal leaked

Hamas current unable to supply Israel with a list of hostages to be released is the alleged reason for holdup of implementation.

Bearing in mind that there was a permanent ceasefire agreed between Israel & Hamas in Aug 2022 that was active on Oct 6 2023. Israel had also recently agreed to a Hamas demand that Gazans be allowed employment in Israel on Sept 29 2023 mediated by Qatar.
