WC - where are they at?

Our players have proven themselves to be competetive against the best, but dissappear far too often when the going gets tough. It's a mental problem - we're soft.

And our tolerance of poor disposal. Clarkson simply would not put up with the crap that our players serve up each week.

he absolutely kills momentum. Too slow for todays game. even when hes in space, running forward, he just about stifles the play with high looping kicks. I think he falls into the category of player that opposition allow him and encourage him getting the ball, because he does nothing with it

He didn't win the brownlow a year the Eagles made the gf by being a shit inside mid. He's not Kirk but he's not shit just like Kennedy isn't shit but we got spanked in the 2014 gf.

He's not half as damaging by foot as he is by hands but when none of your mids want it, nor do they work for it, what can u do?

You're right, he didn't win the Brownlow in the year the Eagles made the GF...

>Talking about aging midfields
>Brings up Wellingham
>Tries to be a smartass

Mate, you're not fooling anyone, you thought Wellingham was a mid and you've got no credibility.
I never actually mentioned aging midfields.

But good work buddy.

Because we kept losing to shit sides, a harder draw may have easily eliminated a loss or two.
Pffft! Eagles away, we'd have beaten you there too. Powderpuff midfield.

You weren't/aren't good enough, just suck it up and admit it, don't deflect to what fixtures other clubs received.

I don't know what he is whinging about, this was the first time we played the Eagles at our home ground in years. We always go over there..We usually play Sydney every second year at home, if we play them only once in a season.

You have to structure up when you have less leg speed and make sure that their forwards aren't always 1-out.

Eagles showed bugger all effort, desire or work rate to win the ball or even score when they had it. Far more damning was their work rate without the ball, which was quite poor for long patches of the game.

They out tackled the dogs, had more uncontested possessions, but far less pressure acts, less scores from I50, less spoils, less sheppards, less all of the defensive 1%'rs that win you games. They were comprehensively beaten in that area from the get-go.

West Coast midfield have pefected the art of the high, loopy kick to a contest. They move the ball like a team from the mid 90s. Need some elite disposers. I would have Le Cras, Priddis, Darling and Masten out there as trade bait.

You want Simpson gone and you can't even figure out Jetta didn't play due to injury!!
What? He brought in a KPP for a winger. What sort of coach does that? Especially vs the smallest team in the league probably

Jetta injured or not would have made no difference last night. He has barely got out of second gear all year. The Eagles got Jetta and Redden in last year and both have failed to deliver. End of the day you were never beating Dogs last night - they were far too good in all aspects of the game and probably should have won by more.

They have a few of the worst big match, big moment footballers I reckon of all time so first step would be to marginalise their roles and importance to the side or ditch them altogether. Pants-shitters are like a cancer to a team in finals and you are destined to fall short when you carry as many as the Eagles do.

Nightmare season for West Coast. Can't see them playing finals next year without Nic Nat.

Have a really one paced midfield and jetta and redden have been two of the worst recruits in recent years.

I would trade Darling now while he has currency. He needs a change.

Also, if someone can name a bigger front runner in the league than Jamie Cripps, i am happy to be corrected. He is deplorable. 1 goal against top 4 teams this year in 4 games, and his third goalless final in a row. He is a solid WAFL player at best.

Have never really been much chop this year - until late in the season. They didn't do enough to get the double chance, had a shocker, and have now been eliminated. Stiff to miss out on the top 4 with 16 wins, and they were in great form of late, but that good form hasn't lasted as we just saw. Let's be honest, they were never a terribly *realistic* flag chance this year. Neither are the Bulldogs for that matter.

Jeez this is how bad BigFooty is. So reactionary. After the win against the crows everyone had Eagles as a dark horse to win the flag. Now they gone and everyone says they are cooked.

Crows lose everyone writes them off. Hawks lost a while back and they were cooked.

Eagles just had a shocker at the worst time. This is the most even top 8.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride and appreciate that every final this season is who turns up on the day

It's just Adz, he's a tool (troll?).

The skills were there against the crows. Could do no wrong!

Jetta was quite good the past 2-3 weeks in the victories over Adelaide, Hawthorn and GWS. Granted he wouldn't have made a 50 pt difference he would certainly have been an improvement on Brown plus Eagles had no players who could get away from their opponent to give an option leaving 50. He would certainly have made at least a 3 or 4 goal difference.
