WCE peak Judd was better than peak GAJ and peak Dustin Martin

Saying there is 'daylight' between GAJ & Dusty at their peak performance is the clear definition of an troll post.
I suggest you take off those rose tinted glasses.
In my opinion there is daylight between GAJ and Dusty at their peak, the fact that you think that is trolling but are completely impartial to the other unrelated nonsense being bandied around just proves where your motives actually lie.

I feel like West Coast, Geelong and Richmond supporters should be excluded from this discussion because it's pretty tiresome seeing the same arguments from Judd/GAJ/Martin fans over and over, but then again that would reduce the thread to about five posts, total.

how come you didn't answer my previous post?

Sorry mate lost track cause I’m replying to a lot of people.

It shows that Dusty is that good he takes a team that would normally just scrape into the 8 like this year into a dynasty team when he was at his peak. Judd was similar GAJ was not.

So Dusty shitting the bed in the '18 PF shows that he can turn a middling team into a dynasty team?

Do you even read what you write? If Dusty was the best to ever play the game like you claim, wouldn't he have stood up and won the PF in 2018?

I’ll make it easy. More money + Start up club = content with not winning a flag and money is good enough
Remember when Dusty toured the GWS facilities but ultimately decided to return to Richmond - any idea why he may have done that? Couldn't be money, right?

Thanks for letting me know, mate.

Your contention was that Ablett thought Geelong couldn't win another premiership. You have no evidence of that.

‘Gary, we’ll pay you heaps.’

I’m sure that was the sell to get Ablett to the Suns.

I 100 per cent absolutely do NOT think negotiations would have gone something like ‘Gary we know you love Geelong and have had plenty of success there but we don’t think you are getting what you’re worth. At our club you can take a leadership role as skipper of the club, you’ll obviously be well paid but given the concessions the AFL have given us, we have a plan in place where we think we can be competitive with the middle of the table within 4 years, we have several other established players interested in jumping onboard and we think that this is your chance to step out of the shadow of your club and build a legacy of your own. Imagine being the first premiership captain of an expansion club.’

No I bet it was the first option. I bet there was no thought given to the potential of the club, just money. Only money.

He had a knee injury from the game before and had internal bleeding. I said this before if you can be bothered reading instead of accusing me of what you just did.

Not criticising the decision to move, just explaining why he did it.

You’re not explaining shit, mate. You’re making something up that you a) can’t know and b) are more than likely wrong about.

It’s their job. They all play for money. They all want as much as they can get, while being comfortable.

If you think for a second that even after offering all that money, they didn’t have to convince Ablett that they would be competitive within 3-4 years and a chance to compete for flags, you are on more drugs than Bailey Smith’s social circle.

If Martin was as loyal as you are making him out to be, he wouldn’t have spoken to North Melbourne would he.

Yep, got tempted but made the right decision in the end. Also said no to the north offer as well. Legend.

Ah he had a knee injury and internal bleeding, yet was fit enough to pull on the jumper and play 76% game time? Very interesting, you've got all the answers don't you?

What do you think he based his decision on? Surely it wasn't his management strong arming Richmond into providing a bigger contract.. surely not?

If he thought they could that’s even worse, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt tbh, maybe you are onto something and he’s actually a worse person than I thought.
