Good news.

I'm sure this will come as a welcome relief to the main bored dingleberry that attempts to derail every Hawthorn thread by inferring that the Kennedy Centre development is some sort of scam.

One of the reasons for the elevated playing fields maybe the requirement to provide a capping layer over the previous landfill elements.

I would have thought that the cost of excavation and removal of contaminated material far exceeds the cost of providing a capping layer of imported material

Planning has been updated for the new surf park around the corner from Kennedy Community Centre, many thought this wasn't going to go ahead. Planning Scheme Amendment C222king: 321 Old Dandenong Road, Dingley View attachment 1866898

Been checking almost weekly for news on this for yonks! Thanks for the update. Will need to start getting this Dad-bod speedo ready when construction begins.

The existing ground level where the W oval will be is 5.94m above road level at the entrance

I really don’t think it has anything to do with drainage, it’s just as simple as using existing ground levels

I'm a little disappointed after downloading the PDF plans as it looks like they forgot to add the plans for the trophy room. Adding it could blow the whole projects budget because of how big it will nee to be

I didn't realise we were acquiring additional land to the north west of the site. I'm not too familiar with the area but could this open up the possibility of an entrance directly from the freeway?

Just had a look at this and noticed the flight plan markings. Which got me thinking one of the key reasons from moving from Waverley to Dingley Village is private training sessions. So as long as we have a way to close off the main oval (doubt we'll be able to accept funding from government and close the whole thing including community facilities) we can have complete private sessions.

As the site is close to an airport it is a complete no fly zone for drones in case anyone wanted to do any spying that way.

Just had a look at this and noticed the flight plan markings. Which got me thinking one of the key reasons from moving from Waverley to Dingley Village is private training sessions. So as long as we have a way to close off the main oval (doubt we'll be able to accept funding from government and close the whole thing including community facilities) we can have complete private sessions.

Guess that prevents the club from utilising their own drones for capturing training footage too?

Probably given we can actually have light towers now we can just mount cameras there, or have some wire mounted camera arrangement if drones are an issue

I think you have different laws on Private Property. Also probably don't need Drones if you can permanently mount cameras all around the ground.
