Worth a look if it hasn't already been posted. Video from Peddle Thorp (Architect) in June 2022. The long-awaited new home of the Hawks is one step closer to realisation. The design looks bright and open, even welcoming.Just a note, Melbourne City initially had their base at La Trobe Uni in Bundoora, back in the Melbourne Heart days.
After the purchase from CFG, they've since moved their entire operation to Casey Fields with state of the art facilities (and a lot of funding from Casey and surrounding councils - which will eventually see them build a stadium in Dandenong). They have mutliple pitches, their womens and academy teams are down there, and they've played Australia Cup games there.
Anyway, all their players have constantly said how much they love the facilities, and how they're the best in the league. It's a drawcard to attracting talent. Their players live mostly in the city, Jamie Maclaren lives in Sunbury, yet the commute to Casey isn't scorned by the players because the facilities are elite and they're building a presence there.
Dingley is much more nicely situated than Casey for our players. With state of the art facilities, the final piece we need to make this work is to bring the "soul" of the club there too. That will be the greatest challenge. Community and fan involvement will be key.

You need to lower your expectations on updates.Love how there’s so much of this stuff out there and yet we don’t get anything much from the club about it, surely we get a decent update at the agm and in the yearbook
An article on Merlino in today's Age.Interestingly James Merlino is standing for election to the board.
True ... but the irony is how much more government funding has been committed to Geelong, GMHBA stadium & their general sports precincts in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. Lucky bastards! Can't we host something at Dingley??? Please???You need to lower your expectations on updates.
Manufacturing, Construction and projects industries are currently facing a constant stream of issues and volatility within their supply chains and planning.
They’re simply not going to commit to giving regular updates, because for the best part of the last 12 months a new hurdle or challenge is presented almost weekly.
Going to be a tough gig spruiking Dingley as "regional"True ... but the irony is how much more government funding has been committed to Geelong, GMHBA stadium & their general sports precincts in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. Lucky bastards! Can't we host something at Dingley??? Please???

You could say the same about GeelongWell it’s kinda in the middle of nowhere don’t you reckon?
To be fair, 5k's West of Melbourne CBD basically is.I consider anything beyond 5kms of the CBD to be regional if that counts at all.
Tell me you don't know anything about the western suburbs without telling me you don't know anything about the western suburbs. To be fair, 5k's West of Melbourne CBD basically is.
Yes, the West is totally as spread out as the South East ...Tell me you don't know anything about the western suburbs without telling me you don't know anything about the western suburbs.

Agree, everyone knows it's 10k......Issa joke, relax.
I heard the trucks are just dumping all the unopened complaints letters about our trade period.Called past Dingley a couple of days ago there is massive earth works going on with the land being filled up with hundreds of trucks coming and going.
So it's good to see work is progressing at the Kennedy centre
I think Peter Nankiville told the hawks insiders boys that work won’t start till 2024 will have to dig it up when the podcast comes out to make sureCalled past Dingley a couple of days ago there is massive earth works going on with the land being filled up with hundreds of trucks coming and going.

Dunno. but Norlane seems to be on fire 24/7You could say the same about Geelong
Nice places nearby, but nothing special about Geelong apart from the flame in Corio
Edit: is that still a there ? Does it still burn 24/7
Will be interesting to see if they continue to base the aflw program at a few different sites or if they try and move the training into box hill and not use Waverley Park as much…The start of the discussion on dingley from the hawks insiders safe space… will be intresting to hear the full interview with Peter nankivell when it comes out
