They'll need to fix the road in front of the main entrance for flooding, as I found out today (the hard way).
I drove past the main entrance this afternoon as well.

It was not too bad driving southbound towards Dingley, but there was a lot of water on the other side of the road if you were heading northbound towards the bypass.

All the roads in the area are gonna be cactus with the amount of construction and works that are going to be taking place over the next couple of years.

when I first looked at the photo I started counting how many Coleman medals, Norm Smiths, Brownlows & Premiership medals & then I thought man that's hard
Coleman medals = 3
Norm Smiths =4
Brownlows = 2
Premiership medals = 22

Yes, I've prepped myself for minimum 10 years of issues. Kingswood golf course development is apparently going to be 900 residences now. Surf park will probably start straight after KCC and the business park on boundary Rd will fill with warehouses.

Then you have phase 2 of KCC which is the hi-ball stadium, extra entrance, allied health and retail space.

I don't think the council's sports centre plans are actually happening anytime soon. It looks good but was budgeted as 170million not including land acquisition. And I don't think much of the proposed area is council land so will be an expensive acquisition.

My boy had his Orientation day for Dingley Kinder today, and a nice little gift from HFC for all the kids. The club is certainly becoming a part of the town already. And has attended recent community meetings to give updates on the project and donate signed jumpers etc.. for charity auctions.
You live in Dingley, you say? I look forward to your training reports! ;)

Would we be able to do some training there mid to late Jan?
Club won't be moving training there during the season is what Andy Gowers said in his media press conference a few weeks back. He said they'll start the move mid year and hopefully the AFLW team will be able to train there when their season starts. Obviously things can change, but unlikely at present you would imagine.

If someone gets injured on loose turf or some other distraction happens then people would lose their minds. Move the office workers when the rooms are ready, the footy in the off-season.

Turf has been down for a while now, and construction sites are fenced off separately a bit away from the ovals. So could train there today without issue. They do this turf stuff all the time, Essendon just did resurfaced and started preseason a month later.

That being said, getting players to go down there to train the oval and change behind a tree with no showers just for the hell of it.

Seems like we will be on target to be completed during the season. I don't really see any reason to delay moving in till pre-season for 2026. If the construction is finished just get all the players to pack their lockers and move over to Dingley it's a 15 minute drive.
