We Are A Team With Respect..dogs 2005

Yes it might not seem origninal but i HAVE to write to tell all of you how i feel about this season..
I am 16 and i went to the game today and on my way home i just started tearing up and i was teary and just about crying at the fact that in 2005 we are a team with form, with class, with poise, with courage, with a young group of skilful and determined young kids and most of all respect and bloody well deserved...

When was the last time we went in real favourites to win a game against a reasonable team?
For 5 years before the year of 05, we were taken for granted as a sh*T team not to be reckoned with, a team that would mayb give a conest when they decide but never really come with the right result..
The transoformation taht has taken place this year, the HUGE step we have taken is just sensationally unbelievable.. i feel so strongly twards this team we have now.. i am certain that we have a premiership coming our way some time soon...

Consistent football is now being shown along with real hear and soul and real belief in the players.. between eachother and rocket..

There's definitely shades of the Bulldogs of the late 90's with the current squad we have. Our tackling has improved out of sight, we can win more contested ball and are commiting ourselves to contests. Let's hope we can go two steps further than the great team that was the Bulldogs in the late 90's.

Never prouder than in '89 as a kid seeing our club just to fight for survival let alone premierships. Like Neale Daniher said, "The sweetest rain comes after the longest drought."

That is, be proud through the down and tough times, it makes you prouder and stronger and level headed in the good times - which incidently are now upon us.

Always be proud of our club and tradition, i think most non-doggie supporters are. I'd say we'd best the most popular 'second' team of people and team that non-football people like because we fight and have great heritage.

p.s. - Great to see EJ back on the TV with the 4&20 legends. I wish i was older and was in those times. Gee watching the Big V in those days wouldve been something.

Richmond... a reasonable team? Let's face it, they've won how many in the last 3 months?

We should've pumped them, played below ourselves and still took home the 4 points... that's a good effort.

I think this week will be harder still. The dees will have great confidence beating Geelong at Skilled for the first time in almost 20 years and now they're still alive in 05. We'll have to be on our game to take them out.

They have been bad lately but at their best were good enough to be in the 8 most of the year - and they played well on Saturday

having said that, we didn't play that well as you said so good to get away with a win

Its great to walk out of the ground and have to watch other teams supporters walking with there heads down, but if feels every better to beat the tigers, this is the win i really wanted, im very happy right now.

Doggies05' you should always be proud to be a bulldog supporter, the hard times we have been through the last few years are going to make the next few years that much more special.

When we where 21 points down at half time i thought we where gonna lose and that was the Doggies of old but as allways i gave them a chance had a little feeling that they still could win credit to Harris to keep richo to 6 goals could of been more and credit to the whole team

It's been great these last 4 weeks with the prospect of it getting even better. I do wish, that some of our co supporters would cool it on the main board, though. There is enormous good will out there. Why spoil it for a cheap shot ?
