**** I love this bloke. I'm 52, been following the Don's since I was knee high to a grasshopper and have had many favourite players over the years.

But this bloke takes the cake. He is Essendon personified. His retirement speech said it all . He was as Black and Red as any champion who came before him.

I will miss you Hooksey, I loved watching you play and I wish that we could have got you the ultimate glory, a premiership.

Hoping that you still have some involvement with the club going forward. If not, enjoy the next stage and thanks for the memories. Now if you will all excuse, I have something in my eye.
