Enjoy watching Reid being a ****ing beast in the midfield tearing us a new arseh*le every ****ing week and west coast having him win a ****ing Norm in a flag. Yeh awesome

Does feel like there's been this weird "We either get Reid or we get NOTHING!" vibe going around this week.

I guess the issue is that Reid is touted as being a far way ahead of others and we had a shot at getting him free of any trades and loss of currency.

We might still get him if WC win (they won’t but still) we might get him in a deal for Pick 1 for say Pick 2 and Ports pick but that then dilutes our chances of other players.

We could end up with Reid and Sanders (but the AFL will see to it that Sanders costs us big time points wise) which means we have f all currency to get other players in.

The only chance we have is if McKay goes and we get pick 3 as well, but that’s a big IF.

Yes a win is good don’t get me wrong, but to win a dead rubber against a team that is just trotting around like we would isn’t much of a morale boost..

Anyway it’s over now, time to move on and wait and see what happens next.

A big part is selection - played the fittest and most mobile side.

Selected the fittest and most mobile side for the year. The selection committee have been an utter disgrace this year not playing Dawson and others in their right position until now. Kept playing underperforming spuds.

I hate to say this but Jack and Lmac out, Perez, Dawson, Bergman in was a big part of how much better we were today.

It reminded me of last year when Hall missed the last game and Perez and Goater started so well of the HBF.

Pick one aside.

You can’t look at the year gone by and feel nothing but frustration with how they have performed in not only milestone and big games. But week after week. Again, I’m just frustrated that a week ago, they’re out of gas and looking fatigued. And today, it’s four quarters of footy. Laughs and smiles and good looking footy all around.

I’m incredibly frustrated by how much these guys got away with all year.

Alright have a sook then. And tell Larkey, Phillips, Powell, Goater, TT and Scott about the mediocre efforts they put in.

Lazzaro played his first game in his preferred position, best game by a mile.



Phillips had a wonderful first half, endurance let him down but that will build.



Powell looked like the Cunnington/Pendels-type, slow it all down and dispose cleanly.



Xerri did his job in the ruck, no issues with him and Goldy going into next year.



Ford and Goater are athletic beasts and both looking like footballers, so glad they’re ours.



Larkey the in form AA key forward and looking like a club Captain, sticky hands and kicking straight, fantastic work rate all day.



Scott just runs and runs and runs, excellent game.



PC had a great game and his field kicking was excellent, build that tank son please you’ll be a magnificent medium forward.



Sheezel is a magician, will win the BnF and get the AA40 nod, best first year player I’ve seen,



Dawson looked pretty great didn’t he!? He can play next year no doubt.



TT should have his eyes on being the most damaging player at the club next year, well within his grasp and if we fly up the ladder with him at the helm, his dreams of being a superstar of the AFL is as well.



Clarko’s system has started to show through, and we’ve got some boys who are going to be ready to run it next year.



Wonderful way to end the year, no need to worry about #1, there are plenty of avenues to Reid, and other elite talents.



Kill to have been in the rooms post-game, enjoy it boys and i hope a few of you enjoyed it at home as much as I have.



Lets go get ‘em in ‘24 fellas!
