Perhaps Tobie Travaglia-lite?

More Patrick McGinity heavy IMO.

This kid will become a fan favourite, hard arsed, takes no prisoners ........ yet he has good skills..... never gives up.

More defender than mid but he's hyper aggressive, super hard at the man and the ball. Also looking to the future for a true small lockdown player.

He was the one change up.

There were discussions come the last live pick on Davis and a few others but Davis overall body of work, size, smarts and goal kicking. The ball drop is a bit of a worry but very happy overall.

In what way was he the change up? We wanted Boxshall?

Gee whiz was paddy a fan favourite? Couldn’t stand him at the time as he massive turnover merchant

Divisive. Could have a three disposal game, but would keep his spot because he was doing his job of tagging the star oppo mid of the day.

Well loved by his teammates, hard as a cat's head and gave every ounce of himself. I'll never forget when I used to go to every training session to do training writeups, I'd see him turn up in this absolute shitbox old car with different colour doors and a dodgy exhaust. Fit the dude to a tee.

The game he randomly got four goals is right up there in my favourite Subi memories.

You have always been left off centre my good friend A5, Badger was always a fan favourite, because he played with attitude, the masses respected his effort and desire.

They ( the fans ) were more pissed that several of our more talented team mates, lacked his endeavour.

Had the more talented actually embrace the "Ginners" attitude .

Then ...................We may have well snagged another flag with that list

Chris Masten and Brad Ebert spring to mind straight away there.

It would have been Boxshall and Gross. Hence with the Saints jumping us we picked Gross first and then had time to decide on the pick.
What was Grego's true draft range? Most phantoms had him in the 4th round if at all.
Regardless, I would assume the club reached quite a bit for him.
I wonder if the club would've considered Urquhart instead.

What an interesting ranga.

Mcginnity/Matthew Bate hybrid.

How’s it a reach if we rated him there?

Who’s to say the next pick a club doesn’t take him?

2021 - Jack Williams (pick 57)
2022 - Noah Long (pick 58)
2023 - Harvey Johnston (pick 49)

Lucca Grego with pick 48 joins the list of relatively obscure late draft selections we’ve made in recent years

Hopefully he can show the same promise those three have so far. Picking up late round gems to add decent depth to the list is an important part of a rebuild, especially when we aren’t getting an AFL leg up or having multiple players walking out the door

Looks a likely type

Late gems like this help speed up the rebuild especially if you nail them in consecutive years

Good 150 games role players

I have this feeling JWilliams will be the best 2nd ruck/forward in the game which is a massive bonus

I sort of see him as a William Drew type with a harder edge to him, could become a good run with midfielder.

Give him the nickname Drago and have him say this to his opponents before the first bounce

48 is the sort of area where you can’t really call anyone a reach. There were only 20 odd players taken after him
