It's not racist(dunno why anyone would say that) but to a draftee, in his first ever interview, asking him such a question that has many nuanced and complicated factors probably isn't appropriate, especially when fans want to know more about the player himself, not why indigenous participation is declining at junior level.

Kid handled himself well though.

He did an exceptional job answering that question.

And he was genuine in providing his thoughts / experiences.

A not so confident draftee would have stumbled and fumbled but the young fella did well.

Someone asks a female footballer their opinion about falling participation rates for female football.

Is that sexist?
