One thing I noticed about Draper, is that he joins in when the ball hits the deck. Ned doesn't. It's like having another mid. I'm hoping Ramma and Meek can do this.

Draper has real presence around the contest. Not measured on the stat sheet but both games they have beaten us has been a real influence.

We need to fast track Ramma. Want to see 10 games from him this season.

For who though? Kosi?

Is 1 game enough for Kosi? Is one good game enough for Ramma?
We played a tall short to get an extra runner. Rama can’t do it on his own. It would be crazy to put that pressure on him. I would play Rama and Kosi together.

I’d look at green or a hff flanker/mid to come out. Chad if he is injured. I’d rather not be in a situation where we have to rely on reeves/meek as our only kpf and we should be subbing out a ruck in the last to give us the run. So to me that says we need another tall forward so the opposition can’t use hbf as intercept kings after our one tall is bodied by a defender.

Is he any smaller than Darcy? ……… don’t let him ruck much where he could get bashed up. Just let him roam up and down the ground a little between the goals and wings using his tank, height/reach and ability below the knees. Let’s get games into the young man. Coaches would know if he’s capable enough in the near future.

We won't play 3 rucks. He'd come in for Reeves, probably as support for Kosi.

Having said that, it's a long shot at this stage.

Who de we see as his upside in terms of a current player in the AFL? Is he a Tim English or maybe more a max king type?

You're not wrong, thought it was Brockman streaming out of the middle half way through that clip 😂
Just replayed it on the TV at home and had a closer look, and pretty sure that 3rd goal is either Bennetts/Brockman or Butler. It’s not Ramma.

I guess this is what happens when you film with a potato.

Max Ramsden (4 goals, 13 disposals, 3 inside 50s)

"Big Maxy kicked four goals which was a great reward for a young man who has worked really hard during the pre-season on his forward craft. What we were able to see from him having some influence as a forward was when he then went into the ruck he also played quite well - so it was almost like he just built up in confidence. He should be really proud of his efforts in that space, now the challenge for Maxy is his ability to replicate that week in, week out. But that was a great output from him, and as anyone knows that's the reward for hard work. He has worked really hard with Chris Newman (Hawthorn Forward Coach) and David Hale (Hawthorn Midfield Coach), and has been a better player because of it."

Great to hear he’s developing. Given our kpp stocks (or lack of) at present if he makes it could have a big impact on our rise up the ladder. A long long way to do however - let’s see how he goes in vfl proper.

Finally had a chance to view the footage on a big screen, definitely sporting the number 30 on the back in that clip.
