It’s off-season.
They’re in the public eye for the other 10 months of the year. That’s not now.
Apart from their contractual obligations to not to bring the AFL into disrepute, and to maintain some semblance of their fitness base - for these two months of off-season they are just Joe citizens like you or I.
It's a tricky field.
Some players monetise their social media and want the club to bump their content.
Assumedly the club would know who not to bump and wouldn't have access to those accounts anyway - except if it's a personal relationship.
The difficult conversations would be between teammates - when one posts things they do together without getting permission.
