What a find this bloke was. In the rookie draft, I still can't believe it. Another solid game I think.
Injury ravaged seasons don't make for good ones imo.
Still good in the games he played, harsh to criticise a player for injuries

Every time I watch Collingwood, I think of Josh playing Mihocek's role (with a better kick) in Freo's first premiership side.

i wonder if his time in the middle is contributing to development in ground level play. he had a possession in the goal square where he seemed to have an eerie amount of space. despite having a person hanging off him. got the hands to emmett. goal.

To me it's kinda the opposite (tho you might be right too): I think he's always had that ground level play, and that helped him be a better 2nd ruck than his size (195cm 92kg) or his athleticism dictates.
he reminds me of a young tom hawkins......
If he's as good as Mihocek that's a huge win. Fair way to go yet.
I am not sure whether it is I believe, or I hope, that after yesterdays game against the Lions, we can officially announce the arrival of one Josh Treacy.
He was outstanding yesterday in every facet of his game.
The coaching staff must have been elated in his performance.
I think his marking the mark at one stage was inspirational for all. He ran to cover the mark . Attacked towards the player, then stopped stood the mark and then blocked the kick which from memory turned into a goal for us.
If he can keep producing like that, then we have a beauty.

He might not have all the talent in the world but I reckon Josh Treacy is the most physically intense guy that has ever played for Freo. (Troy Cook a close second).
He smashes packs, and lays tackles to hurt. (If holding the ball is the result then so be it).
The crazy thing is the guy is only 21. We've got to play him every week just for the effect it has on opposition players.

I have a bet with my eagles mate that Treacy will kick more goals than Waterman this season.

He is bigger but that’s where any physical intensity over Troy Cook ends in my view. There is only one Cookie Monster!
