I think comparisons miss the point. They're complimentary forwards. Treacy's major point of difference is, for a crash and bash CHF, he has masses of finesse and is highly accurate. Amiss will get stronger, and is already one of the better leading forwards in the game. His field game is also hugely underrated - he's got elite agility, a great mark and neat field kick. This gives us one of the most fluid forward pairings in the league (currently). Give them a couple of years and forget about salivating over Curnow/McKay, these guys potentially are a generational #1/#2 punch.

I've said for ages that I think Amiss is set to join the podium with Pav and Fyfe, the fact that Treacy might be in that race is frankly outrageous given our history.

No, I didn't walk around Cohuna in my Freo gear, it was a balmy 10°c with a stiff breeze 🥶 Just quickly out of the ute for a snap and back into the heated cab. So soft 😢
Should have called in for a cuppa

11?

Just compared him to all players ahead of him in Coleman ladder

He must be coming into contention for all Australian squad

He is such a well rounded forward

Pressure acts, tackles, rucks when needed, quality disposal and accurate in front of goals from anywhere

Goals and assists round 19:

1. Charlie Curnow 67 (53/14)
2. Jesse Hogan 59 (49/10)
3. Toby Greene 53 (30/23)
4. Josh Treacy 51 (39/12)/Jeremy Cameron (37/14)
6. Harry McKay 50 (44/6)
7. Joe Daniher 49 (37/12)/Kyle Langford (37/12)
9. Tyson Stengle 48 (34/14)
10. Ben King 47 (45/2)/Dylan Moore (27/20)

It'll be hard to go past Curnow and Hogan for AA. But I think he's next in line and should be in the 40 man squad as long as he finishes the season well.

I think Treacy has more score assists than 12..

Score assists yes but these are goal assist stats

edit: 107 score involvements for Treacy, ranked 30th. 4th at the club behind Brayshaw (highest ranked for us at 6th in the AFL), Young and Serong.

Don’t forget the balance between having a left and right footed key forward. Sturt, Walters, Banfield as lefties makes defending us a full inside 50m arc. We aren’t full of right footers who you can hem to the right sided boundary.

Mind you, you can hem Jackson to the pocket, but he’ll banana it straight though.

Treacy would have to be only player to have kicked a goal in every game this year. His accuracy is so impressive

For Freo, yes.

League wise, nope.

Hogan and Curnow haven't missed either.
