Jeez take it easy peeps. I can confirm (for about the 10th time which started this whole joke) that Henry was definitely at the Doig. Saw him with my own two eyes on Tue about 10 metres away.

What we are still trying to work out is whether Doig was at the Mount Henry.

The only way that happens is St Kilda come out after the bell rings and says here is pick 12. We kindly offer you this pick for Mr Henry.

As that will not happen I can see this one dragging out well into the second week. We will likely end up with an early second but it will wait until Saints do a bunch of other trades first.

We may well try and swap picks or otherwise trade for Sharp early in the piece (future fourth rounder or mild upgrade for GC) but Henry is going the distance.

Fwiw agree though. St Kilda will sort out their contracts , FA and then trade for Henry once they know their final hand. Makes sense that Mitchell is keen to chat so can just walk to Hawks.

I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word.

After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

For the record, I took this photo yesterday entering the Peel match. Freddy on the left. Liam on the right. They stopped and turned around just before entering the gate because Freddy was on the phone told Liam they needed to wait for someone. About 10 minutes later, Liam walked past me alone, heading to the non-grandstand side of the ground. That's all I got. The defense rests.

I'm never sure on Geelong, I do feel like they are an easy target to paint as the villain in trades but often it gets done fairly (GC being their feeder club not withstanding). They arent getting a first round pick for Esava but it does give ol Cornes some talking points

Knowing their history (and I’m sorry but they definitely have a history of hard bargaining) they will chase an early 20’s pick.

Sweet is their pick 43, or even less. Geelong aren’t getting a first round pick for Esava, but port need to get a second rounder from somewhere.
