AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Did we really need pick 10 for him?
Stress fracture along the lines of Varcoe in his junior daysAnyone know about his foot issue?
ANd who who Nakia be most like in the comp at the moment?

It's just completely lacking in logic to select a injury prone midfielder over a KPP when we are going to be very very thin in the KPD area in the next two to three years.
Even more so to give up a 2nd round pick to do so when he would have been there at our original pick.
The off season has seemed to be very reactionary instead of being a well thought out process.

All the mail said we wouldn't be picking him until suddenly it was saying we would pick him. Draw your own conclusion on the value of 'mail'.The only query I have: doesn't all the mail suggest that he would have still been there at #14?
He had a stress fracture in his foot in one season and that means that he is "injury prone".
That is a gross exaggeration of of Nakia Cockatoo's career.

Re the pick 10 think - Cockatoo may not have been the target for 10. Maybe it was De Goey or Marchbank or Wright? Once they're gone you just have to go with the next on your list.

This season has shown nothing other than this board posseses negative, entitled supporters. I'd even go as far as saying half weren't even members before 07.It's just completely lacking in logic to select a injury prone midfielder over a KPP when we are going to be very very thin in the KPD area in the next two to three years.

Get around him Daz. Heard him linked to west coast at one point. If Cockatoo was their man then I think moving 12 places down with our 2nd pick in an even draft to make sure we get him is a OK move.Raised this a few hours ago... Tend to agree... not sure we needed to lose 12 picks late on for this...
