It's just completely lacking in logic to select a injury prone midfielder over a KPP when we are going to be very very thin in the KPD area in the next two to three years.

Even more so to give up a 2nd round pick to do so when he would have been there at our original pick.

The off season has seemed to be very reactionary instead of being a well thought out process.

Get around him Daz. Heard him linked to west coast at one point. If Cockatoo was their man then I think moving 12 places down with our 2nd pick in an even draft to make sure we get him is a OK move.

Just seems to me that the club had to have moved up in the order with a specific player in mind. And going by what was written in the phantom drafts (specifically that West Coast - as a '...much longer shot...' at #11 was the only team that was linked to Cockatoo by Quayle before pick #15), I'm surprised that player was Cockatoo.

I like the pick. I like his power and speed around the contest and he topped the skills testing. Solid build too, would bowl over Hamling in a contest.
