We did however maximise scarletts role in the latter part of his career as an intercepting and offensive player. Just like stewart.

You're right in that a direct comparison between the two is a bit off in that their roles were different. But we are talking about a top 10 and overall efficacy. I think the set up cost required to get Stewart going is relevant. We got a window into it this year when we saw how clubs started to find effective ways of neutralising him.

We could play Enright anywhere from a supercharged Bews or we could play him like we do Duncan, either way he'd stop his opponent and get a ton of the ball. For Stewart he plays that late career Scarlett role, he gets away from a direct opponent and moves into the space, winning gambles that other players can't due to his superior ability to read the play and fantastic mobility. But this space exists in the first place due to a combination of his teammates positioning, upfield pressure and opposition mistakes.
