I’ve watched Luke Breust play his entire career. His crumbing is elite. His one of one work is elite.

I’m not saying ginnivan can’t do those things, I just wonder whether there is a clip showing those things.
You can go & watch it live in a couple of months.

Fantastic goal-sneak. His goal accuracy is exceptional as well, which is what I think we'll love most about him. 58 goals and 30 behinds. So essentially a 2:1 ratio for shots at goal, which is elite with a capital E.

Incidentally, Luke Breust is slightly above the 2:1 threshold, and is in rare air in the accuracy stakes. Of players who have kicked at least 300 career goals, only Matthew Lloyd, Peter Hudson and Tony Lockett have been more accurate than our man Luke. What a gun.

I still have not seen any highlights of this guy doing much more than taking set shots and a couple of crumbing goals.

I'll even take draft highlights FFS!
Is there anything around?
In fairness that is mostly what he does. He kicked 40 goals, half of which were from free kicks. He had some good goals from general play that were pretty easy to find.

He's kicked more goals than he's had tackles, and he's had a grand total of 6 contested marks, so you're not gonna find much else in his highlights.

Luke's one on one work was not always elite. He worked on it. I remember the 2011 season especially the qualifying final. Luke had some moments there he would rather forget and was not chosen for the rest of the finals that season. I love Luke Breust but he like Sam Mitchell wasnt born a star he worked on it. Hard work over many years distinguish great players from others

I've seen this clip.
Thanks for confirming.

I really like his attitude and he's still very young.
He's def a finisher who wants the ball, and that's immensely valuable for a forward.

:) so have i. Love Punk seen him play in the then development side for box hill. Then graduate to play for box hill and then come in as the super sub. He is a star but wasn't always.

I still remember the talk that breastfeeding had no defensive side to his game and that was what limited him making the senior side.

Bring the D boys... lots of tackles on top of those goals.

I didn't recognise Ian Bremner.
He stumped me when I saw this pic last week.

I did see him play many times though.

I wonder if Ginni signed autographs for them?

He was tough, a tremendous mark and very consistent, one of my favourites from back then. By luck in 1968 I was able to see him every home game. My local clubs fixture lined up with Hawthorns. Played in the morning then watched the seniors play. The following week, played, rushed home, caught the bus to Box Hill and then the train to Glenferrie and watched him play. What a year that was. Saw the first home game from the brand new Doc Ferguson stand. Two players stood out, Hudson who could have kicked a dozen or more goals but was strangely inaccurate and Skilton who was just tremendous and the game ended in a draw. My junior team finished 3rd losing to the eventual GF winners and the firsts and seconds both won flags and I made my first 100 when cricket started.
He still looks very fit.

Great to hear about Hawks from before my time, thanks for sharing

I'm going to say I only saw him play from '74-76 because I think that was about when I started going to the football regularly. A school mate and his family went every week as they were Hawk supporters where as my dad followed Melbourne and was less keen. So I got my first membership back then and went with them each week.

His move from Collingwood was a good one as he was a dual-premiership player for us.

Goals from free kicks you say?
