I wouldn't. Extreme inflexibility is almost as bad as having the drink, there are just as many young footy players constantly in their heads about doing everything right as there are that do all the wrong things. Reckon they've each ruined plenty of careers.

You can definitely strike a balance, though.

There's endless ways to relax/prepare for an Elimination Final that doesn't involve going to a busy Melbourne Pub and having a drink, i.e. having a drink at home.

It's finals, you want your players to feel good. Ginnivan is clearly social so being out is good for him mentally, a beer might be good for him mentally, for him sitting and having a beer alone is probably a depressing thought.

You can see how much Ginni is enjoying his footy, his team-mates, and representing our colours. He's brought so much energy and enthusiasm to our club, which has been infectious.

Yeah a drink with dinner while watching a game at the pub seems better than drinking alone at home. He was home by 9 having a tea so no concerns with his prep.

Everyone is motivated differently. Hodgey has got it done for 4 flags now so I wouldn’t be calling his finals takes brain dead but that’s me.

I don’t like this, it’s disrespectful to port Adelaide and shows that some of us are getting ahead of ourselves. I’m all for a bit of banter but I’d be very surprised if Sis hasn’t pulled him a side and just had a few quiet words to him. Jack loves playing the villain, so let’s hope he backs it up this week
