The best thing for Omeara would be to get a run of games, hes only going to get that if he stays at box hill. Be good for him to build up some game time and confidence without the added pressure.

Yes playing at the top level is worth more, but in Omearas case if he stays at box hill it will be a good test to see if he can back up playing week after week for potentially 6 games straight. If he passes that test it will be a huge confidence boost going into next year!

Box hill is Hawthorn reserves, it's a great relationship because there's no power struggles. Next year they may as well change the name, no development league.

1000% these people calling for him to play are crazy.
-he played 3qtrs in the vfl and still pulled up sore.
-he has played 3/4 of a game, in over half a season.

let the kid play 6games in a row get the miles in his legs, before u want to throw him in the deep end where he going to push he body to the limit! the game is a zillion times quicker.
if we are still a chance to make the 8 next wk, he pulls up mickey mouse, you might look to bring him in.

I wouldn't bother wasting him at Box hill for a finals series, if he can play seniors he should play, why even risk him playing 6 games out in the burbs? Give him 2 senior games, send him to the paddock for his break and come into pre-season Cherry ripe.

The above quote was something rolled out by Leigh Matthews from time to time, sounds good to me.

The decision on where to play him is not being based on emotion. There are valid reasons to play him at Box Hill as there are valid reasons for playing him for Hawthorn. They will weigh up the pros and cons and make a decision. No emotion involved at all as far as I can see.
